    i would much rather see mateo starting for the cubs in 2007 than eaton. If Mateo can continued to perform like he has, I would as well. However I'm afraid he may be pitching over his head right now.

    And yet, some think we should avoid counting on Prior as he is too often injured. I have stated consistenlty that we should not count on Prior as part of the top 3 part of the rotation. However I have no problem with him in the bottom part. Thats my view with Eaton as well. I would like to see a top notch starter added via FA or Trade, along with another starter for the bottom of the rotation. At this point I have seen enough of Hilll to pencil him in at 3. Zambrano Daisuke/Zito/Schmidt Hill Prior Eaton or other FA. I think Eaton has more upside than a guy like Ted Lily who also had been mentioned.

    Man I wanted him to be a Cub, but I'll admit I was wrong on that. His production given his salary is just terrible.

    Adam Eaton I have been pining for him for quite some time, as a #4 type guy.

    If Hampton truly thinks that Benson shouldn't be given a chance to prove he can perform better than Jones, then I think he needs to put down the bottle of booze when watching the Bears play.

    word. Chris Harris got benched because they said D. Manning was better. Well they need to be fair because right now Thomas Jones terrible. Rex would've been on the ground soooo much more today with Benson in there. The Vikings were blitzing hard and often, and I recall reading that Benson just isn't as good at blocking yet. While Benson might not be that good at blocking, he can't be as bad as Jason McKie who was in there blocking on many pass plays. McKie is simply a terrible blocker.

    I like Lovie as a head coach. But there is no one worse in the NFL managing challanges.

    You're a smart man. I'm not even that big of Benson fan. I don't think he is that great..but we need a back that can hit the hole hard and get 3-4 yards every attempt. Benson can do that better IMO.
