    You are happy with the starting pitching? I'm a bit eh on the starting pitching overall, but I think someone like Khalil Greene would do the Cubs more good than attempting to trade for Bedard. I see that, but I'm all for upgrading w/ a RH SP over a SS. An upgrade over Theriot wouldn't be all that hard to find. I would rather see high OBP player at SS, and try to find an impact pitcher for the starting rotation. If the Cubs stay put at SP, the rotation of players in the number four and five spots could get ugly.

    Do you think he is going for both? The Figgins' rumors came out after the Roberts' deal cooled. I think Jim is going for one of them and Fukudome, not all three. It doesn't seem like the Cubs could afford all three anyways if they are keeping it around 120 mil. Interest has been rumored the whole time the Roberts thing was going on. Oh...never heard the Figgins thing before tonight.

    Nothing really new since yesterday, other than it appears Murton is no longer involved in trade discussions, which will make you happy. I haven't been on in a while and didn't know Murton was involved anyway. As for any Murton trade, I pretty much support it since we're not going to use him. And you call yourself a fan. [-(

    OMC is right there with my opinion. They should have not made it public and let Torre announce whatever he wanted. Low-balling a one year deal is classless. After 12 years, Torre should get the ending of his choice.....

    Am I the only one that thinks Dusty might have actually learned something while with the Cubs? To me, Lou seems like a different manager from the Tampa days. Just wanted to put it out there, I know no one wants to hear it.
