  1. In Chicago today, the Cubs lose again. That's the way it is, Friday, June 16, 2006.
  2. Dusty makes the only managerial move he knows---the double switch.
  3. Didn't he get a double play and only retire 26? I thought that was why he doesn't get credit for a perfect game. Babe Ruth started for Boston, walking Senators' lead-off batter Ray Morgan, then was thrown out of game by umpire Brick Owens for arguing the call. Shore came on in relief. Morgan was caught stealing and Shore retired the next 26 batters in a row. While technically not a perfect game—since he didn't start—Shore gets credit anyway.
  4. I want them to tell the story of when they were playing Hide-N-Seek when Chip was 6 and it took him 12 years to find Skip.
  5. The Cubs front office just issued a press release advising the Hank White has been signed to a 3year extension.
  6. Buffet time!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not really rooting against the cubs, I'm rooting against the Pale Hose.
  7. Did Ronald Reagan come back from the dead and say, "Mr MacPhail, tear down those walls!", then bring in the Tiger hitters to knock it down?
  8. Strand a runner on 2nd base with no outs----Dusty Ball.* *With a strong assist to the Cubs' less than adroit batters.
  9. Did I hear Len correctly? "The little things are haunting the Cubs?" Since when is Dusty considered a "little thing"?
  10. In other sports news, Phil Nippleson started his second round bogey-bogey. Tiger finished +12 and will miss the cut (his first missed major cut as a pro?). Will the cubs strand a runner on 2nd, no outs?
  11. I'm setting the runs over/under for the game at 21.5
  12. Geez, play all the outfielders on the warning track. The way Granderson runs the bases he could play for the cubs. I do believe Rusch will be partaking of the clubhouse buffet in just a few minutes.
  13. I'm going to preempt Fred with the only useless statistic you need to know. Dusty Baker will be managing the Cobs.

  15. Cubs lose. And that's the way it is, Thursday, June 15, 2006.
  16. Dusty's a great manager. Hendry is a great GM. Ha, I won twice!
  17. In other news, Ms. Doubtfire (a/k/a Bill Parcells) has fallen into a tie for 2nd place in the U S Open, whilst Tiger is T82 at +5 after 10 holes.
  18. ?Yeah, as Lend Kasper ais, "A lousd out". Too bad Wilsosn was right hter. Have you been drinking? No, he's been watch the U S soccer team and has become dysfunctional.
  19. Geez, with two hits today, Walker has probably earned a week on Dusty's bench. yeah, whats that .300 hitter doing upping his avg.? He needs to bunt more and give to the team. Amen. He's only sacrificed once all year. What a selfish, selfish player. :D I understand that after last night's game Todd met with the toothpick and promised that if he could just bat second again he'd swing at the first pitch and hit ground outs.
  20. Geez, with two hits today, Walker has probably earned a week on Dusty's bench.
  21. Well aren't you the optimist thinking Dusty will pinch hit.
  22. Pale Hose manager goes nuts after the rookie pitcher he puts in to hit a batter misses and finally gets the batter out. Pitcher (Tracey?) is reemed and just about crying in the dugout. Announcers predict he's sent down tomorrow.
  23. Cardinals lose 9-7. Hockey game tied at 3 after two periods.
