    Taguchi was the only one that tried to steal. Everything else was just Maddux getting hit. Correct and once Taguchi started running Maddux started throwing BP. I think Grace nailed it unfortunately. I highly doubt that Maddux lost his concentration after Taguchi stole one base. This isn't a young pitcher we're talking about here, it's Greg Freaking Maddux. Now if the Cards continued to have runners on base that were actually base stealing threats - rather than Rolen and Edmonds - then your point would be valid and I would completely agree with you. Maddux is a smart guy and knows that Edmonds is hurting and Rolen isn't that fast so they aren't going to steal. I know, I know. Maddux has been my favorite player in baseball for at least a dozen years. It's just that after Grace spent several minutes talking about how much Maddux does not like to pitch with runners on, etc., I've noticed that there is something to his remarks.
