    Sounds like the only thing being negotiated is how badly Theo is fleecing DiPoto on Haren's contract. Even Haren himself just said that he's assuming it's a done deal (according to exchanged emails from DiGiovanna). Marmol opened his mouth way too early, but this deal will get done.

    Don't be so quick to the ledge guys. Rosenthal update: #Angels, #Cubs could even money out in Haren-Marmol swap, with Angels contributing all or part of Haren $3.5M buyout. And yes, I'm seriously writing in Theo Epstein for President of the United States. LOL DiPoto if this is true.

    Here we go again. This is the same place where I got bashed for having no optimism that we would have a chance to win the division. Our bats obviously need to wake up, but that doesn't change the fact that we have a terrible rotation. Especially with Z in the bullpen! Sorry that I'm not happy with starters like Carlos Silva and Tom Gorzelanny, and a record below .500. Blame Lou all you want but he can't win with this lineup because nobody can. Hendry needs to wipe this slate clean and start over fresh building around Starlin Castro and Tyler Colvin.

    We have one of the worst pitching staffs in the majors and we are talking about trading away our best pitcher? I don't get it. If we are gonna trade anyone I hope it's Ted Lilly.

What does he have to do to get some respect around here? I'm not saying he is going to be Alex Rodriguez tomorrow, but he WILL be the face of this franchise in 3 years or less. I know we are Cubs fans but have a little faith! Is it not possible to have a prospect worth playing in our mediocre (at best) infield?
