Mizzou 15t. Ball State 15t. Michigan State If Alabama were to win out and Texas won out, we will see Texas in the title game. Joe Pa just can't win. This would be #5?

  5. I'm just saying that I think PSU struggles less against OSU at home in this case. Either way, it was the only close game PSU has played this year didnt i tell you guys the third week of the season to watch out for penn state? i dont think ive ever said penn state wasnt good. i dont think they matchup well against USC or Florida (no one really does), but Ive said I think they can beat the top Big XII teams. Again, I havent really been saying the Big Ten is down this year either...its not.
  6. its not six points on everything. its 6 points total. i dont think pryor makes a difference....he lost the game at home....he couldnt have played any worse.
  7. Whats the spread? I am thinking you win by 30 this year, this is the worst A&M team in a while. any other year and I would do what cubinok said, but this aggie team is just [expletive] bad. Didn't they give Tech a game? Nebraska gave Tech a game.
  8. Did the Ohio State fans play defense? The whole HFA is a six point flip, on average. So it's 19-6 or 16-3 or something. HFA doesn't make it go from 13-6 to 35-3
  9. Vance, Gamedays going back to Baton Rouge. It'll be the third time they've seen the Tide this year and the second time they've seen the Tigers.
  10. Well. If the Longhorns average 4th in the computers behind Tech, Penn State and Alabama, and the Sooners get the same computer rankings they got last week, the BCS ratings will be: OU 0.819047619 Coaches Poll 0.819649123 Harris Poll 0.806666667 Computers UT 0.779047619 Coaches Poll 0.814736842 Harris Poll 0.880000000 Computers BCS Score: 0.82459482 Texas 0.81512114 Oklahoma We do know that Texas did not fall below Penn State in two of the computers. The computers had Texas Tech below Oklahoma last week, and that won't be true this week. If Texas doesn't fall below them, which they won't, then Oklahoma is going to lose points there. Florida also jumped Oklahoma in at least one of the computers.
  11. I'll put Bo Pelini's Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Big XII North discussion. Obviously their defense is atrocious right now, but Pelini's probably on of the best defensive coaches in the country, if not the best. The second year is almost always the big improvement year under a new coach. They'll have to replace Ganz, but they've got some young talent at QB. I think they'll finish in the top 25 next season. I'm really not sure Mizzou or Kansas. I wouldn't be at all shocked if we see an Alabama type Renaissance from them next season.
  12. expect tonights BCS to look something like this: 1. Alabama 2. Penn State 3. Texas Tech 4. Florida 5. Texas 6. Oklahoma 7. Oklahoma State 8. Southern Cal
  13. Harris Poll is out: 1. Alabama (79) 2. Penn State (17) 3. Texas Tech (16) 4. Florida (1) 5. Oklahoma 6. Texas (1) 7. Southern Cal 8. Oklahoma State 9. Utah 10. Boise State Tulsa is still ranked...
  14. Should be 29.
  15. 70.4% #1 Alabama over #15 Louisiana State 60.0% #2 Texas Tech over #8 Oklahoma State 71.5% #3 Penn State over Iowa 93.6% #4 Florida over Vanderbilt 93.0% #5 Oklahoma over Texas A&M 93.8% #6 Southern Cal over #22 California 98.0% #9 Boise State over Utah State 62.4% #11 Texas Christian over #10 Utah 55.2% #12 Ohio State over Northwestern 89.7% #13 Missouri over Kansas State 74.4% #14 Georgia over Kentucky 78.6% #16 Ball State over Northern Illinois 95.9% #17 Brigham Young over San Diego State 84.9% #18 Michigan State over Purdue 69.4% #19 North Carolina over #21 Georgia Tech 68.5% #20 West Virginia over Cincinnati 72.4% Virginia Tech over #23 Maryland 66.2% #24 Florida State over Clemson 80.2% #25 Pittsburgh over Louisville Upset Alert Game of the Week Accuracy Last Week: 90-100: 5-0 80-90: 5-0 70-80: 2-1 60-70: 2-2 50-60: 0-1 Year to Date: 90-100: 36-4 90% 80-90: 27-3 90% 70-80: 16-10 62% 60-70: 10-6 63% 50-60: 8-8 50%
  16. USC has kicked the crap out of Ohio State. Penn State struggled mightily against the Buckeyes. You can flip that around using Oregon State though. USC's defense has allowed more than 10 points once all season.
  17. Missouri gave up 42 points to Illinois - one of their scoring days of the season. Kansas gave up 31 points to USF - one of their best scoring days of the season. Colorado gave up 39 to Florida State - one of their best scoring days of the season. Nebraska gave up 35 points to Virginia Tech - their best scoring day of the season. Iowa State gave up 34 points to UNLV - one of their best scoring days of the season. Kansas State gave up 38 points to Louisville - one of their best scoring days of the season. Kansas State gave up 37 to ULL - who only scored 17 on Illinois - one of their best scoring days of the season. Oklahoma State gave up 37 to Houston, 24 to Troy. Texas A&M gave up 41 to Miami...who scored 3 on Florida. Washington State has scored more than 2 touchdowns against a FBS team once this season - against a Big XII opponent. Baylor gave up 41 points to Wake Forest - who has scored more than 17 points in just one ACC game this season. Baylor gave up 31 points to good old UConn as well.
  18. one thing that's not really being stated enough about why UT dropped as far as they did is the fact that their rankings were built upon okie state and mizzou being good teams as well. okie being good is more or less built on just mizzou being good. mizzou's been falling quite a bit of late, im wondering if that's starting to play into voters heads or not (im not saying this is right or wrong, just providing one possible explanation) the bigger explanation is that, despite being a close loss, texas got outplayed to a greater degree than the scoreboard shows. they gave up 200 more yards and were completely unable to get any kind of running game going to protect McCoy from trying tom complete 80% of his passes while laying on his ass. texas got manhandled in this game.
  19. Florida got an AP vote? damn 3 points separating Tech and Penn State
  20. Tiebreakers: #1. H2H: 1-1 for all three. #2. Division Record: 4-1 for all three. #3. Record vs next highest in division: They all 3-0 against #4, #5 and #6. #4. Record vs all common Big XII oppenents: 5-1 for all three. #5. Highest Ranked BCS Team #6a. If two teams are tied in BCS, then H2H winner goes. #6b. If all three teams are tied in BCS, best overall winning percentage: All three would be 11-1. #7. Draw So, if that happens it'll be decided by the BCS. Which right now, would look to favor Oklahoma, if only because their loss came way back in early October.
  21. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/usatpoll.htm Coaches poll out 1. Alabama (40) 2. Penn State (14) 3. Texas Tech (6) 4. Oklahoma (1) 5. Florida 6. USC 7. Texas 8. Oklahoma State 9. Utah 10. Boise State Just 62 points separate #7 Texas from #4 Oklahoma. Penn State is 61 points from Alabama and Tech is 28 points from Penn State. Notables: 11. TCU (setting up #9 vs #11 on Thursday!) 12. Ohio State 13. Missouri 14. Georgia 15. LSU 19. North Carolina 22. California (setting up #22 vs #6 on Saturday)
  22. and the 2006 tigers were 20 wins better than the 2006 cardinals. one game is one game. if usc and florida played those games over, theyd probably win by 3 touchdowns. you really dont have an argument. the success of the system over your brain isnt up for debate. again merit vs who is better. football games have probability based outcomes. get it..
  23. does a conference winner have to have a minimum BCS ranking to get the auto-bid? No. There is a rule, if a non BCS conference team is ranked in the top 16 and a BCS conference winner is ranked below them, the non BCS conference gets an auto bid as well. Unfortunately for Ball State, that only applies to one team and they're fifth in the non BCS conference pecking order behind TCU, Boise, Utah and Brigham Young. I don't see a scenario with the MWC winner doesnt get a bid this year. I think itll go something like this 1. Big XII #1 (Texas) 2. Big XII #2 (Oklahoma) 3. SEC #1 (Florida) 4. SEC #2 (Alabama) 5. Pac 10 #1 (USC) 6. Big East #1 (West Virginia) 7. Atlantic Coast #1 (North Carolina) 8. Big Ten #1 (Penn State) 9. Non-BCS Auto Bid (Texas Christian) 10. At Large That at large bid will more or less come down to undefeated Boise State and 2 loss Ohio State. Ohio State will get it because of their fan base. BUT! Despite Ohio State getting in and the Rose Bowl choosing them, they could end up switching them to another bowl to avert further disaster. I think you see: Rose Bowl: Ohio State vs USC Orange Bowl: North Carolina vs Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl: Texas vs Texas Christian Sugar Bowl: Alabama vs West Virginia National Championship Game: Florida vs Penn State Rose bowl would get first choice, then sugar gets one, then orange, then fiesta and finally the sugar again if usf pulls off the winner of the big east, and florida state or miami pulls out the ACC, youll probably see a Miami/FSU vs USF Orange Bowl (which could lead to a UF USC dream sugar bowl matchup if OU or TTU or UT is in the title game)
  24. Why should an ACC team not get in? The ACC is stronger than the Pac 10. The ACC and Big 10 aren't all that different. The ACC winner will have 9 wins. Oregon State will be 9-3 if they win the Pac 10. Upon further review, the ACC might be better than the Big 10.
  25. There's nothing wrong with Bowl Tie-ins. That's not the problem. Oregon State would win the Pac 10. They'd deserve it. I don't see this happening though. Oregon State has three losses, still has California and Oregon at Corvallis and go to Tucson.
