i think the faller of the draft has been smoker. harvey was expected to fall some. the Braves have to be ecstatic if they get Smoker next pick. They would have never guessed in their wildest dreams to get Smoker and Heyward. They probably had their choices down to those two guys.

Smoker maybe. Smoker wont fall past the Braves at 33. The Nats at 31 may take Jackson or Cumberland The Giants will take another hitter. Maybe a lot of the others mentioned at 32. Smoker 33. If hes gone. Ill think. Im tired of doing this now. what is it a minute between the picks in the suppy?

close. tough choice here for the yankees now. I think Russell or another toolsy HS OFer. Chris Carpenter or Nevin Griffith if they go pitching. UT Suttle maybe

im still sticking to my projection of Jackson in the suppy. the Yankees will probably take Smoker if he's there as well. If not, Russell is an option. Jack McGeary would be interesting, tough sign and hes a red sox fan, die hard style. Ill project Wendell Fairley

It would be a nice pick. Three guys at 48 that could be interesting: Doolittle, Burgess, and Brackman. Brackman to the Mets at 46 Doolittle to the A's at 41 Burgess to the BRaves are Phillies in the 30s. Maybe the Cards on Revere, eh same line of thought. Big shocker though. DOnt like the pick

lets see with the giants. theyve taken hs sps bumgarner and alderson. they may go with a bat but they have a lot of picks left. if smokers there hes an option. i think they could go upside upside again with burgess. Wendell Fairley maybe. they might take a chance with signing away russell. ill say smoker then russell.

Not surprised. I didn't really think the A's would go after a pitcher. Simmons was probably their choice but I didnt think theyd go to him with a bunch of similar college pitchers (Arrieta, Roemer, Kopp, etc) available in the sandwich. I thought the upside of CHris Carpenter might take this pick. hmmm smoker to the tigers? maybe. porcello more likely. twins will probably think about smoker first but i think they were targeting the hs middle infielders, middlebrooks, cumberland, etc. they could also take burgess. i'll go out on a limb and say drew cumberland.
