  1. Wow. That call doesn't make any sense. Auburn got a huge gift.
  2. What the hell happened to Northwestern's offensive line? They're horrible despite returning four starters and replacing Strief with Trevor Rees, who returned after being ineligible last season. So that's five returning starters from a pretty good offensive line and now they're crap. At least they won, though. Nevada on Friday night will be a test. Oh, and the new clock rules suck.
  3. Wow. Pitt up 10-0 late in the 1st and they decided to go for the onside kick...and they recover.
  4. Cincinnati up 7-3 on Ohio State. Pitt is up 3-0 on Michigan State thanks to an apparent phantom illegal motion call that took a TD off the board. Iowa trails 7-3 against ISU.
  5. Pitcher Abuse Points 2006: Francisco Liriano - 93 (average PAP), 1 (stress) 2003: Kerry Wood - 8162 (average PAP), 73 (stress), ranked 2nd in overall PAP Mark Prior - 7746 (average PAP), 68 (stress), ranked 4th in overall PAP Carlos Zambrano - 3463 (average PAP), 32 (stress), ranked 10th in overall PAP 1998: Kerry Wood - 6451 (average PAP), 58 (stress), ranked 21st in overall PAP

  7. You don't have to be a member of a team to cheat effectively (albeit poorly): http://www.theoffside.com/south-america/a-ball-boy-scores-a-goal-and-it-counts.html
  8. An own goal three minutes in is not a good way for the Fire's streak to come to an end... Their lead over New England is down to three points.
  9. Ugh. I had to miss both matches today. Stupid interviews. The Fire take on Colorado in 70 minutes. No TV, sadly.
  10. We'll see if Northwestern's game can actually break the 2 hour, 45 minute mark this time. Last week's game barely got through 2 and a half hours. And punters are crazy:
  11. Ridiculous goal by Ronaldinho to close the match. 5-0 the final.
  12. I'm ranked 2,280th through week 1 with 265 points. Longwell really hurt me. I don't see any way to view the scores of other members of the group, though.
  13. Not a good day for the satellites. They just lost picture for about five minutes. 2-0 Barca in a pretty stiff rain.
  14. Not surprisingly, Levski Sofia is looking outmatched early.
  15. Talk about a lot of problems with the satellite feed.
  16. Still no update on Hillenmeyer's "mild" concussion.
  17. Very nice run by Kone. Missed it by about three inches.
  18. Ooh, didn't realize the Barca match was going to be on ESPN Classic at 4 central today.
  19. It doesn't look like ESPN2 is going to replay the game. They'll have Manchester United and Celtic on Wednesday afternoon. ESPN Deportes is showing more games, but at least ESPN2 will have a Champions League highlight show from 1-2 PM central on Friday.
  20. It may very well have been the case. I just saw the replay and not only was he being pushed down from his upper body (cause his upper body to fall backwards before his legs moved, effecting the trajectory) but he made a very quick throw like a QB would if he was trying to get rid of the ball. He still should have put more on the throw, though.
  21. Also, the giant on-field graphics showing the down situation irritates me. It just looks bad.
  22. What was that sound for? It sounded like a remote controlled car revving. It must have gone off 50 times. I hated it. They did it everytime they changed something on the overlay at the top of the screen. Every time the down changed, there was a click.
  23. Video Highlights Oh, the other thing I want to complain about regarding Fox is the ridiculous use of sound effects during the action. We don't need to hear fake computer noises. It's really annoying.
  24. seemed like they were just going quickly through every game Only the last few that they didn't care to talk about. No mention of this being the first time that Favre's offense has been shutout. No mention of the 4th longest scoring streak in NFL history ending. No mention of Rex Grossman. They sure can talk about TO, though. I'll have video highlights up in a bit.
  25. I didn't think it was possible for the Fox post-game show to spend less time on the Bears. 10 seconds for Hester's return and that was it. I guess Favre not doing well means that they're contractually obligated to downplay the game. And yeah, the run blocking continues to be a concern.
