  1. Just picked up a pair of $10 seats on eBay for $50. Of course, they would have cost $35 through Ticketmaster, so the difference isn't that big. They're for the 12/23 game against the Bobcats in row 17 of 326 (last row?). That was actually the game I wanted because of the long weekend and not being sure about being able to make a weeknight game.
  2. Let's hope that Manning Jr. isn't suspended. There's not a lot of depth in the secondary with Harris out.
  3. "Stolen Auburn Playbook Returned With Spelling, Grammar Corrected" http://www.theonion.com/content/files/images/Auburn-Playbook-R.article.jpg
  4. I was able to get $10 seats for the Tuesday night Hawks game in February. There aren't many of those left and none for Friday or Saturday games :(
  5. I blame all of you for not reminding me about tickets going on sale, let alone for not reminding me about the presale.
  6. A couple of quotes from after the game:
  7. YouTube.com decided to take an hour to process the clip after it finished uploading, but here are the highlights.
  8. Maybe, but both teams had a similar cast of characters last season and Notre Dame routed the Vol.s Tennessee finished with a 5-7 record last season. They're 5-1 so far this year.
  9. Yay, I thought maybe you wouldn't have them since you were at the game. No, it just meant that they took twice as long since I had to go through the play by play log to pick out the plays and then FFwd through the whole game to get them (instead of just writing down the time marker). It got pretty loud there. I was a little disappointed, though, at the crowd participation at times in the second half. But it was a blowout, some people had already left, and it was getting rather warm. I was pleasantly surprised that they replay just about every play up on the big screens, even the questionable/controversial. I didn't think they did that anywhere. My seats were especially good since I was in the last row of 149, so I could stand up whenever I wanted. Also, they don't have many speakers, but they've got some up on the roofs. Those things are really loud. You could probably tear down a house with just half a dozen of those.
  10. He's as good as his numbers say. He got two sacks against Walter Jones last week and this week he played quite well against a good OL. I'll have highlights up in about 15 minutes. The move he used for his first sack was pretty impressive.
  11. Man. What an awesome game. I thought that the only bad thing that was going to happen was that the Bears weren't going to score a TD in the north endzone (where I was), but they recovered the fumble on the kickoff and punched it in. I'm still pissed about that bogus roughing call on Urlacher, but maybe allowing the TD will just piss the defense off. Still, that was something. And what a beautiful day at Soldier Field.
  12. About 15 minutes until I leave. It looks like it's going to warm up a little slower than previously thought, but it'll still hit 70 sometime in the 2nd half.
  13. And the next 86 minutes suuuuuuuuuuuuucked. 4-1 Columbus the final. Of course, some favor the third playoff spot over the second.
  14. Nobody on Washington knew that the clock was going to start. They had about 20 seconds to get ready for the snap, and yet the entire offensive line was still standing when the official signaled for the clock to start. Talk about stupid. Even worse than having about 15 seconds after a first down to get a play (which they should already have had considering that they were just one snap removed from a timeout), yet the spiked the ball near midfield.
  15. Get back just in time to see Armas with some beautiful footwork in the box before a fantastic pass from the end line back out across the middle to Rolfe after the GK had already committed. 1-0 in the 4th minute. The game is on CSNC.
  16. That was absolutely bizarre. Talk about idiotic, Washington.
  17. There's another dropped interception.
  18. He still has a near-.900 OPS against the Cubs over the past three season.
  19. They lost to Wisconsin 40something to 9. I don't think it made TV. Yeah, I know. I was just joking because Pam Ward seemingly does every NU game Just last year (and they had a nice winning streak with her in the booth, too). Northwestern hasn't had a Saturday game on ESPN/ESPN2/ESPN Plus yet. But I thought someone else was the color analyst. Was Tomczak last year or two years ago?
  20. USC is up just 14-10 on Washington. After last week, I can't say I'm surprised.
  21. Arkansas did what it looked like South Carolina was going to do. Of course, Arkansas didn't just beat Auburn. They handled them pretty easily.
  22. I think Illinois made their uniforms out of the stuff they use in mood rings. They look light navy up close, but either green or brown on TV.
  23. Kudos to Wake Forest for turning what should have been a 20-3 lead into a 24-17 Clemson lead with Clemson starting a drive in WF territory.
  24. Clemson ties it up after the PAT is tipped and just sneaks through. Arkansas up 24-10. How many trick plays can Illinois run for scores before even Indiana figures it out?
