  1. Nice way to start the game! Horrible kick and Peterson took advantage.
  2. The Bears won the toss and will receive.
  3. Hahaha. Gould's acting could use some work. Briggs and Muhammad, on the other hand...
  4. Ian Scott out again? Ive been reading that he wasnt happy about being inactive last week, so what is the cause for this week? Glad to see Tank and Anderson in there though. I love this teams depth. Prediction.... Bears 32 Cards 3 I'm not sure what's going on. He wasn't on the injury report. Maybe I misheard it, but I did read that Tank Johnson will be replacing him as starter. Well, just now, Lovie didn't say Scott's name when going through the inactive list. Hopefully he'll play, then.
  5. Haha, that bowling segment was great.
  6. Ogunleye will not dress tonight. Anderson will start. Leon Joe, Mark Bradley, and Ian Scott are also out. Tank Johnson will get the start for Scott. The Cardinals will have a different guard AND center in there tonight.
  7. I'd look on eBay first. FinishLine.com seems to have them for $60. Prices seem to have really shot up at local places. You could have found some for $55, but now they seem to start at $75, which seems too high. It's not going to help you, but I saw Reebok replica throwback Butkus jerseys (numbers not stiched) for only $55 at the Sears in Niles a couple of weeks ago.
  8. I'll be surprised if Leinart doesn't turn the ball over at least twice.
  9. Lance Briggs: "I'm so hungry for a shutout, you can see my ribs." We're just under 3 hours from kickoff now. I cannot wait!
  10. wow, none of those things are particularly important for a 1 or 2 hitter. Are you kidding me? Have you watched the Dertroit Tigers? Granderson gets on base, then Polanco moves him over with a bunt, or the hit and run. Works out pretty well for them. Whitesox used it in 05 also. Detroit's offense is pretty average. They're a slugging team with little OBP. The White Sox offense from last year was below average and also a low OBP team.
  11. Didn't realize Soriano was that bad on the bases last year. Of course, that was his worst year for stolen bases in his entire career. Soriano put up career power numbers last year, but his real success was a career high in walks (76% more walks than his previous career high). The real question with Soriano is if he can keep that up/improve it. And would the new coaching staff help or hurt him.
  12. 3 years of Lou at $3 million per. I hate the Cubs.
  13. Not the prettiest of victories, even against DC, but an important win nonetheless.
  14. Hatchi matchi. The equalizer goes off the crossbar. Way too easy. Not a very strong finish for Chicago.
  15. Herron makes up for it! He drilled it. Going to have to record this week's games, unfortunately.
  16. Ridiculous goal between two defenders.
  17. Goooooooooooooooal. Should be 3-0, though. They need this one to get some momentum back.
  18. Wow. A fantastic cross by Mapp and a great header for the goal by Segares.
  19. Come on, Herron! Put it away. I hate missed PKs...
  20. I think that's alot worse than this current situation Probably. Without having seen it, it's hard to get a sense of the context and intention. The comments about Green are much more transparent. Either way, it was enough for even Fox to have had enough with Lyons and his tendancy to offend large groups of people. Unfortunately, offending people intellectually is still a requirement for any color analyst position on Fox.
  21. Most likely. I don't believe he even issued an apology for that, either. In searching for exactly what he said, I found something that said he privately apologized to Green. Yeah, but never a public apology, I don't believe. Here were his comments:

  23. You can't have a 3 game series. 5 games is enough of a crapshoot. Not only that, but it would screw up the wild card teams' rotations. It's fine the way that have it now.
  24. Hendry obviously wanted Dusty to return but there was no way he could sell it to the fans or media. So, he's going to do the next best thing and get an angrier version of Dusty. Hooray for lateral moves. And welcome back, Larry. Try not to ruin our young pitchers as much as you have before.
  25. If the Fire play against NE like they played against Columbus last weekend (BTW, Toyota Park is awesome), they won't stand a chance. There are plenty of USL teams they wouldn't beat if they played like that.
