  1. The question I have is: Why did those fans throw all those balls on the field?
  2. As soon as Glendon Rusch entered the game, I knew it was over for the Padres.
  3. It's really astonishing. And the idea they might pursue legal action against the guy who did it is equally insane. What would the charges be? Vandalism
  4. I read this thread title and immediately thought of Gus Frerotte.
  5. http://images.jupiterimages.com/common/detail/36/42/22184236.jpg Thanks, I just about choked on my sandwich. I'm not sure I understand what's so funny. Can anybody explain to me?
  6. Here's ESPN ambushing Tejada on this issue: http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/videopage?&brand=null&videoId=3351771&n8pe6c=2
  7. He just doesn't want to use up a precious bench player, dude.
  8. It's Dusty - he's coming out regardless. Well well well... don't you look foolish now?
  9. A few more games like this and it might drop below 8!
  10. My thought is this: If Blanco gets the bunt down, Lou goes to a PH. If Blanco doesn't get the bunt down, Lou keeps Lilly in there to bunt.
  11. Please don't tell me Blanco tried to bunt with the pitcher behind him.
  12. Gotta rest the man sometime. I agree, you need to rest Reed Johnson sometime. I see what you did there!!
  13. Between AFL and NFL, the NFL is the one that has the best players performing at the skills they are paid for. Between NL and AL, it's the AL that has the best players performing at the skills they are paid for. Players in the NFL use too much energy and get punished too much for them to be able to play both offense and defense. AFL can do it because it's a 50 yard field. If this weren't the case, I'd think we would see NFL players play both sides of the ball.
  14. Probably the main reason why everybody renews their season tickets.
  15. Yeah, Brian Roberts was also one of them.
  16. At the end of the season, some people in this thread will look awfully foolish.
  17. Piazza's line last year was .275/.313/.414. Not too bad for a washed up catcher.
  18. I think deep down inside, every baseball fan for every team would embrace the addition of Barry Bonds. They may not at first, and they may be upset at the cost of him being on the team, and not like his attitude, blah blah yadda yadda yadda, but once he brings that middle aged 1.000+OPS to the lineup, I'm willing to bet most fans of whatever team he would join would change their tune very quickly. He better produce, and quickly because if he doesn't, the fans will get nasty in a hurry.
  19. I tried watching an AL game and it was just unwatchable to me. I love the huge box scores, I love the double switches, I love the strategy in the NL. Also, having the pitcher bat keeps the pitcher honest.
  20. One funny thing about that picture is that Lilly never changes his bland facial expression during that massive meltdown.
  21. Anybody with Comcast can tell me what channel the Bulls game is on?
  22. If I were a Reds outfielder, I'd try to get bleacher seats right about now.
  23. Z is getting back that craptastic run the Reds scored on him.
  24. You can't pitch inside to Soto ... you just can't!
