    Dudes a gamer. He's the spark that gets the rest of the team going. Those other guys may have the numbers, but players like Ellsbury are invaluable. So on and so forth, rabble rabble rabble. So does being a "gamer" not add any value to a team?

    Likely to retire. He flopped horribly in Iowa and Tennessee in rehab stints. He refused to be bumped down to Daytona. Thanks. That sucks for him. For some reason I just remembered the couple of games he pitched well in in 05 or 06. Not to mention his baserunning that scored the walkoff run. That was some funny baserunning.

    I remember Mike Fetters doing some crazy head snapping thing because of his asthma Grace mocked it one time when the D-Backs were getting blown out and he was on the mound. It was funny. DIdn't he give up the first home run to Russell Martin that night?

    Runners on first and second with no out; runners try to steal; the batter pops up; the infield fly rule is called so the batter was out; the third base coach stops the runner who was stealing third but the runner stealing second keeps going and passes the other runner so he was out; finally the ball hits the runner as he is retreating to second so he was out. Now I'm wondering if this should, by the official rulebook, be a triple play. It would seem to me that once an infield fly rule is called, then the ball is "dead in the air". Can the runner going back to second really be out if the ball his him in this case? That triple play story happened in some spring training game, so I doubt the umps were real sticklers for the rules during such an esoteric baseball scenario.

    Yeah, I think we'll be alright with Soriano on the DL. And a blowout against the pirates, who we are like 8-1 against, proves that. He had a good game against the Astros too.
