  1. I believe MLB changed that rule and Randy Johnson does get credit for a 20 strikeout performance. I heard Pat mention this during Wood's 20 K anniversary.
  2. If I'm not mistaken, I believe he also quit paying dues, which pretty much puts out out of a union. Doesn't that also mean he won't get any sort of retirement pension?
  3. I don't think Bonds is in the union.
  4. I get that feeling too, but how many times did we all have it last year? Yeah, this is nowhere near the mass hysteria after the 3 games at Florida last year.
  5. It is maddening how arbitrary MLB sets the rules for a no-hitter. Weaver/Arredondo pitched an entire MLB game without giving up a hit. It's not their fault their offense was completely lethargic that game. How can that not be a no-hitter? Also arbitrary is that Weaver/Arredondo could have had a chance for a no-hitter had they been the home team. But since they were away, that chance is taken away from them.
  6. Sorry, was thinking of Quinton McCracken. Carry on.
  7. I believe he's from Duke?

  9. LOL, I love people who try to justify not obtaining a 1.000 OPS player for league minimum.
  10. I see the Sox strategy. Walk EPatt so Lee GIDP's.
  11. Can you tell those of us at work what happened on that double play?
  12. Everybody's talking about Lee's GIDP rate, which admittedly is bad. However, the real culprit is that his GB% is at a career high. groundballs + guy on first + less than two outs = GIDP
  13. Hahahahaha ... John Smoltz was wearing a shirt and ironing it at the same time?
  14. Pujols going 4/4 raises his line to: .358/.484/.637
  15. Yeah, the reports of AJ being a "douche" are highly exaggerated. For some reason everybody hates him, but during interviews and such, he's just like any other ballplayer. I honestly don't know where the anger started.
  16. Trailblazers select Joey Dorsey? Didn't Dorsey run his mouth on Oden before the Elite Eight game in 2007?
  17. So the Blazers have: -Oden -Roy -Aldridge -Bayless -Arthur Jeez.
  18. Ohhh ... now I see the resemblence between Jeff and Stan.
  19. Yeah, I wish he stayed at Duke.
  20. Ahhhhh ... McRoberts, now the trade makes sense.
  21. NBADraft.net has them taking George Hill, an Indiana native. http://www.nbadraft.net/admincp/profiles/georgehill.html But obviously someone will have a better answer than me. Courtney Lee was really impressive during the tourney. Wouldn't be a bad 2nd round pick.
  22. Robin Lopez about to be interviewed ... get your mute buttons ready.
  23. Yeah, I thought of Tony Pena Jr. immediately when I read the thread title. His bat is so bad, it's like the Royals have an NL lineup.
