  1. You know .. in retrospect, a .500 record in interleague play might not be that bad.
  2. That was way too stressful of a 9th inning, and I hate how those two runner scored. But a win's a win.
  3. Glad to see he's doing it to other teams besides the Cubs.
  4. Just turned on the game, saw Cards up 4-0, crying myself to sleep.
  5. other countries always allowed their pros. I don't watch the basketball but I would find it difficult to actually root against them. Yeah, the US would get absolutely slaughtered if they only allowed their college players to compete.
  6. Hurry up All Star Break!
  7. i don't have the tv on. they said on the radio show that he threw a long side session and felt fine, no pain in his shoulder. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3466661
  8. Yeah that's awesome. Not like we're going to face good teams in the playoffs or anything. If we play the NL West champs, we might not.
  9. Yeah, Carlos Quentin is a pretty good looking man.
  10. When even Jon Miller says the ump blew the call, you know it was pretty bad.
  11. Ladies and Gentleman, meet your new Cubs killer: Carlos Quentin.
  12. 99 times out of 100 you'll get the area of the bag call if you're even close. Watch the reply from behind Cabrera and it's pretty evident he touched it.
  13. I would pay $10 to have a Cubs batter foul a ball straight back and scare that guy in the green. Just to see his reaction.
  14. I was kind of thinking that too, actually. He has some sort of badge around his neck ... maybe this is some sort of charity work the Sox are doing for 'Cards? EDIT: What the hell? "'t-a-r-d-s" got posted as "'Cards"
  15. Any of you guys have any friends at the game right now? If so, call them up and tell them to punch the guy behind the plate in the green Sox jacket in the face.
  16. I am rooting for Germany. Why? Because the Spanish goalkeeper looks like Jason Marquis.
  17. Chip Caray: How Jeter could be voted the most overrated player in the league escapes me. All he does is win.
  18. Why are you using errors to determine how good a defender is? It's not perfect obviously but someone who is close to leading the league in errors for his position isn't having too good of a season. Lee has been good but to his normal level so far. I don't that's really true at all. All that means is he's botched a few routine plays. Routine plays don't make a defender great. The things that make Lee a great defender have still been there all season. Errors also could mean a defender botched a tough play that he made look easy. Perhaps an infielder has very good range and gets to a lot more balls than other defenders, so he gets more chances to botch plays.
