  1. Ditto, and if that girl wouldn't let me live out my passion of seeing the Cubs win the World Series... She would be gone, that's not something you take from a loved one. +1 Boy, haven't you guys seen Good Will Hunting?
  2. I would laugh so hard if the Cubs plan a new stadium.
  3. Does Randy Wells get a start down the stretch just to see if what he's doing is a fluke or not?
  4. Cubs had a bunch of baserunners in the 9th and extras today. Keep at it!
  5. I wonder how much the rent is.
  6. Just clinch whatever way it comes.
  7. 83 on that fastball? We better get 5 at least.
  8. Well guys, looks like we're not clinching tomorrow.
  9. That's a bit unfair, don't you think? There's always going to be some team that has to worry about it every year.
  10. I think since we play both the Brewers and Mets the last two series, we'll be off the hook. If the Brewers ask why we're not playing our regulars against the Mets, we can just say we're not going to play them against you either.
  11. 3 outs away form CC's first NL loss ... let's do this.
  12. *cough* Who was the RHP that made you happy? RHB I MEAN!!
  13. Shouse against RHP makes me happy.
  14. Braves have the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th down 1.
  15. Damn, I wanted Braun to dive for that!
  16. Another stellar AB by Corey Hart.
  17. Brutal AFLAC trivia question. :(
  18. This brings up an interesting scenario. Say the Cubs and Astros finish the year both clinching a playoff berth but the Cubs are one game ahead of the Astros, would MLB be forced to play final postponed game in order to decide who goes in as division champs and who goes in as the wild card? The first tiebreaker is head-to-head in these cases, but the Astros only hold a 9-8 advantage there. The last game could decide the first tiebreaker as well. The second tiebreaker is intra-division winning percentage, which (right now) the Cubs own. Granted, the odds of this is extremely low and would require a monumental Cubs collapse, but it's interesting to think about.
  19. Most likely we'll play one fewer game as well.
  20. Expect an angry call from Kent for not knowing this.
