    Exactly. No one is going to go to this game. It's going to be embarrassing. No one wants to go watch a group of ridiculous underachievers bow out against one of Memphis's C-USA punching bags. I'm going to be at work so I won't even be watching. I can't even describe my level of dumbfoundedness over that blog rant, as if the NIT means even one tiny little thing. One of the worst things the NIT can do is give an underachieving team a home bid. No body is going to show up to that game. In 2001-2002 Iowa played LSU at home and nobody showed up to an Iowa loss. To get good attendance they should let the teams who don't go to the post-season much host or let teams who weren't expected to make the post-season host. Yeah, I refused to go to SIU's NIT game last year against Oklahoma St. That's an interesting idea, but I'm sure they would want to reward the better teams the home game so the fans can see them play a 'meaningful' game at least one more time. :-k I guess no one cares about the NIT then. Then what does say about the College Basketball Invitational? Or the CollegeInsider Tournament.

    The selection show is at 9 on ESPNU. I don't get ESPNU :cry: It would normally be on ESPN2 except this is a WBC year.

    I just saw the highlights of this game on Comcast SportsNet and there was a WGN graphic on the highlight reel. I thought you guys said it wasn't broadcast anywhere ... was it actually on WCIU?

    Milton Bradley? I suppose that's only as long as kfuk is in center instead of RJ. last year for the second half against RHP it was Edmonds and Fukudome occupying CF and RF, now it's Bradley and Fukudome. He's right, the only left handed bat we added to the lineup against RHP is Fontenot, and I bet he won't even get much playing time against RHP. Edmonds (RH) was awesome for the Cubs. If the Cubs needed to get more LH, then Edmonds is definitely not the reason why.

    Eh, competition never hurt anybody. If there was no competition, and Fontenot's and Miles's numbers were reversed, how would you feel then?

    So the last time Lou saw Fukudome play baseball, he was throwing him under the bus. Now he's penciling him in as no. 2? Makes sense.

    lol If you're being unbiased I don't see how you can say there was nothing wrong with what he said. He basically admitted that he sat out on days he could have played because he didn't want his numbers to take a hit because it might cost him money the next season. How is that "telling it like it is"? Shut up Milton. We're tryng to like you. Just shut up. Whether you like it or not, that's precisely "telling it like it is."
