    Correct me if I'm wrong, but Stevens being optioned to Iowa doesn't clear a spot on the 40 man right? He would need to be outrighted to the minors for that to happen. So did we just have an extra spot on the 40 man?

    You can't argue with Peavy ... he's proven. Rios is definitely a risky move, IMO. I'm surprised the posters on WSI and Soxtalk aren't talking more about the risk. They are almost universally hailing Kenny for this.

    Hoffpauir did go 5 for 5 in that game, but the second homerun was hit off of Rincon. So at least there's good history!

    Hoffpauir homered twice against Pedro during the last series of the season last year. Hopefully they call him up so he can start in this game.

    I'd like to know that, too. I can understand 4 and 3, but not 2 and 4. It's absolutely impossible to make an MLB schedule that makes any real sense. The math just doesn't add up. Sure you can. There are 81 home games, so that equates to 27 three-game series.

    You think they would just let any random Joe Shmoe to take whipped cream body shots off them? They knew who Josh Hamilton was, and I don't know anyone who knows who he is that doesn't know about his problems. Yes, I agree that Josh Hamilton is an adult and has to take responsibility, but it's a problem for a reason. One of the most despicable TV episodes that I've ever seen was this CSI episode where a police officer tries to "tempt" a pedophile in order to get him sent back to prison. I feel this is analogous.
