    It seems funny that I just got an e-mail from Cubs.com, stating that "Soriano hopes to add to his all-star resume." It goes on to persuade us as to why he should be an all-star. He just got here and we're not sure what we've got at all. Funny timing for that e-mail!

    I'm used to the Cubs sucking, and I'm used to waiting til next year. What I'm not used to is looking at my calendar and seeing that it's only APRIL. That stinks. Can't they wait til June or July and at least giving me a few months of false notions?

    I decided to take a step back and see this whole season/team from a distance. I know they have the ability to hit and pitch and field. No question. But I'm not sure if they have the ability to really pull it all together and catch fire. Not getting a good gut feeling.

    Eyre's ERA is now 14.40. I don't see it improving, the way he's going right now.

    Did anyone see this game? I just saw the last out, but my friend (a big Rangers fan) said that there was a bad call, that Hairston (I think it was), was actually safe at first, as the replay showed, but he was called out. I didn't see the game, but I'd like to see that to know if this fan's claim has any validity!

    So Cubs fans have voted in the Comcast poll that Pie should stay in CF when Fons returns. Runner up was RF or LF. Sounds reasonable.
