  1. Well....he looked at strikes 1 and 2 as well. so? i don't see how that matters. reds pitchers walked what 4 cubs that inning, a very difficult task. So it would be nice to see our slugger take the bat off his shoulder at least once per at bat. i don't see what he could have done with any of those pitches. they were pretty much perfect. it's not like he looked at 3 down the middle. he was looking for a mistake over the plate, tip your cap to santos, he's good for a series of pitches like that maybe once every 20 appearances. Hey, I'm not hammering on him like some do on here, I'm just saying that I think he should have been looking to protect the plate on that count and in that situation. Anything close, and that was close enough, and he should be swinging trying to stay in there. They were good pitches, but all 3 strikes were put in the exact same spot. At some point, he needs to swing just to try to keep the inning alive.

  4. Tag hit the shoe after the heel had hit the bag. Good call by the ump.
  5. Who couldn't see that one coming? First hit. Only the Cobs. Of course.
  6. The perpetual question....has Kendall thrown out a runner as a Cub yet?
  7. I agree....walking the bases loaded to get to a guy who has already hit a HR today? Not the greatest of strategies. And another run given up.
  8. Another game where the Cobs out-hit the opponent but still manage to get beat by 4 runs. Outstanding.
  9. Going to get swept by the freaking 'Stros. Pathetic.
  10. It'd be just like Oh-Man to give those 2 runs back only a half-inning later.
