It seems that Jockety's hands were tied since there wasn't much interest. So, he got some minor league talent which I think is a good way for the Reds to go.
He has a 1.012 career OPS against the Cubs which includes 38 homers. Atleast from a Cubs perspective he should be feared. Interesting to see in about the same amount of games/at bats against the Cardinals he has a career .832 OPS with 25 homers.
I really think the player that the Sox will lament losing is Aaron Cunningham who they traded to the D'backs for Danny Richar. Cunningham is now with A's (AAA). The D'backs packaged him as part of the trade for Haren.
The only thing that could even be done with Lee is move him down in the order. When the roster expands Hoffpauir can get a bit of playing time to give Lee a break. Other than that, there isn't much else to do.
