  1. I'm afraid that Pie would almost exactly match what Jones brings with the bat - neither one of them hits lefties well at all. hopfully pie dosent throw the ball into the ground one time and the next over everyone. i wouldnt trade jones now, wait a bit, we could get something a lot more valuable in return
  2. when i saw zambrano fall i almost cried
  3. I'm glad something good will come out of it. actually nevermind that i did the math and found out Zambrano would pitch the next 4 games i go to.
  4. Good because i have great seats for the sunday game in Milwaukee, i would love to see Zambrano
  5. I hope so, i want to see Zambrano up in Milwaukee
  6. Best of luck to sammy, and I hope he has the courage this time, to come to wrigley. I'd hope he'd get a warm reception. Yea, because it was his lack of courage that stopped the orioles from playing the cubs in '05. You know, it didnt have anything to do with the way the schedule was made or anything. He sat out of the series vs. white sox. Because of a "sore toe" or something like that. Have you forgotten that? Have you forgotten that the Sox don't play in Wrigley? And Sosa has notoriously had a problem with his toe throughout his career, he had a problem with it when he was still on the Cubs. It wasn't something new he cooked up to get out of coming to Chicago. no one knows how bad a sore toe is untill you have one. i had a ingrown toenail and i couldnt put any pressure on it, let alone play baseball. i dont know what Sosa had but i have a general idea of the pain.
  7. Bad mechanics lose him 2-3 mph? really? i could see it, especially with some pitchers
  8. while Guzman may be having a great spring, it means nothing untill he can do it when it really counts. maybe he will flip the switch like Hill did last season but untill then, Prior would be my choice untill he proves he cant do it
  9. Why? He improved a couple MPH over his last started and mixed in some breaking stuff. It's progress. nevermind, i was given the wrong info, i thought he was only throwing 85 today. Oh, no. He was consistantly throwing 86-87-88 ok good, i was under the impression that he didnt improve on his last start.

Have you forgotten that? are you talking about that other team he played for? the one that isint the Cubs? him not going there means nothing

  13. Flickr has awesome pictures, many of which are wallpaper worthy.
  14. you are going to have poles and you are far up there, bad seats.
  15. he might be an idiot but at least its offset by the cubs winning.
  16. ahead, i waited another 30 seconds after i saw your post to see the Jones hit
  17. there is some pretty big delay on comcast
  18. This is what I'm going to love this year...even on outs our guys are seeing pitches...Fonzi saw 10 pitches there in that at bat...it was a great at bat no matter what the outcome...I remember entire series where JP didn't see 10 pitches. i agree ARAM
  19. That supports my hypothesis that bad pitchers pitch poorly. He used to be an elite prospect though. well yeah but at least they arent swinging at the first pitch like last year edit for the most part
  20. its nice to see them take some walks, now they need to get some timely hitting with the bases loaded
  21. ugh i dont want to pay to listen to the games
  22. or you could have tickets
