Commenting about it on a message board is 'taking it too seriously'? By that logic, you are taking what abuck and I have said too seriously. A white guy from Louisiana used the words 'karate-fight' in reference to his Japanese teammate. To a reporter (sort of reporter). If you don't think that's problematic or at least slightly stereotypical/racist, then you're probably the type of prick who would say that sort of thing and think its OK. But don't worry, it's not like white people in America have a history of projecting vitriolic garbage at Japanese people or locking them in cages or anything.

I don't think the Indians would be a good fit for him. They already have two players who can't really play any position all that well in Hafner and Martinez. If they got Bonds, they would have to play Hafner at 1B, and Victor catch. Not a very good combination there defensively. I look at a team like the Mariners to get him. They would be the best fit in my opinion. Still think the A's would be a great fit too. I can't imagine they are going to be all that good this year, but why not give yourself the best chance to win. It isn't even like Bonds is asking for all that much money, he just really wants to play. And to the poster above, I would agree he is above average. I'd still rank Bonds in the top 10-20 best hitters in the majors, strictly on his OBP alone. What? Bonds would be an excellent fit on the Indians. DO IT SHAPIRO

definetly don't disagree but it the late in the game, the drain is clogged and the level is up a foot. I don't know how a troth can help anybody get in and get out of anything, except for perhaps a wedding in the middle ages. A trough is a fantastic receptacle to pee in. I've never seen one in Wrigley that was a foot deep with pee. Then again, I'm not a woman who needs to pee every inning. damnit

I assume we're looking at a demolition of the entire upper level (400s/500s/suites) and a refurbishment of the existing lower level (200s/100s/10s). The new upper deck would presumably be built taller to eliminate the "tunnel vision" that exists in most of the 200 level seats, and with wider aisles to accommodate handicapped fans and better crowd flow. The current upper deck went up separately from the rest of the park in the 1920s. In theory, it could be switched out with an updated version so long as the park's foundation could take it (which it possibly could; a study done in the early 2000s showed that Wrigley was still very stout at its base.) If I'm picturing it correctly, the problem with the tunnel vision is not necessarily the presence of the upper deck, it's the boxes that hang from the lowest part of the upper deck.
