  1. really? he's a frat boy douchemonster? he's an incredibly competitive and hard-working 21-year old who just achieved the pinnacle of his profession long before his physical prime. if you wouldn't party like that, then frankly, you are a waste of a human being. life is for enjoying. i probably would have made an ass of myself 10x worse, and would be 100% less apologetic. and i'm with jersey on the cabby sitch. i was in atl in feb and some cabby took use waaaay out of the way because the two people sitting closest to him, myself and one of the dudes i drove down there with, were asking all these questions about atlanta n stuff, like it was actually an interesting place or something. but then the guy who we were visiting was all "wth are you doing, where are you going" and the guy got all shifty. the meter said $28, he received $19.
  2. lol you're watching tmz videos and calling them the douchebags.
  3. lol what an absurd turn this thread has taken. let's watch video tapes of you idiots binging when you were 21. how idiotic to question the maturity of a 21-year old and compare him to Theo Fleury. Clearly celebrating an epic championship that is the pinnacle of your sport and doing coke after winning a hockey game in Columbus, OH are very similar things. lol
  4. i mean, i giggled a lil bit, but it's pretty classless. you know it's going to be hanging somewhere in the philly locker room.
  5. I hope I can find this game in Louisville, supposedly there's a couple of Cubs bars, so those will probably be the best bet. GO HAWKS
  6. except for that one time but i was a different person then
  7. I will wager you a nickle that the Wings finish higher then the Hawks next season easiest nickel i'll ever make!
  8. '67 expansion minus '42 contraction is only 25 homey. I didn't know what the actual time period was so i threw in a number and put "around" (don't worry I know "around" can't be used for a 15 year gap and make sense, I admit I threw an inaccurate number out there). And besides, 2 of their titles came outside that time range. They were in a 6 team league for 25 years and won 1 title. yeah, that's totally sad. hopefully we have somewhat of a dynasty on our hands, and we can do some winning to make up for all that losing.
  9. beaten by sully. and yeah, the nhl has been a pretty dysfunctional league for most of its history, in addition to the general wackiness of professional hockey historically and culturally. that's why something like the 'hawks fief-like status to the redwings could fly. quite a shame, but we have years of dominating the wings to look forward to. the trends are clear, chicago is better than detroit at everything except post-apocolyptic cityscapes.

  11. lol you know we've gotten into some pretty goofy territory when we start dissecting the decision of the team to hang out together in one place. OH NO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?! if they lose it's because they took the day off, which is less likely in this scenario i think. i like it.
  12. lol where did you get that?
  13. def hawks stanley cup, but i had to think about it. it came down to the fact that our sports teams win championships so infrequently, and the bulls have won most recently outside of that other team. but i'll be disappointed if i don't get both.
  14. I would try to call this, up or down on the two year thing, but I really just have no idea what kind of owners these guys are going to be.
  15. Nope, better than those too. If the Cubs-Cardinals rivalry wasn't national fodder, why does ESPN pick it up almost every single Sunday it occurs? I'd rank it 3rd, behind NYY/BOS and LA/SF. Also, 2003 was a great year for the rivalry.
  16. lol yeah right, they're not going to get a touchdown. 49-6
  17. http://www.usingenglish.com/forum/english-idioms-sayings/90541-mine-well.html http://eggcorns.lascribe.net/english/212/mine/ http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20060922140435AAL3M8S Like I said it's not widely used but it is in fact used. I picked it up from somewhere (always said it that way so I don't know where it came from). Is it wrong. Yes. Are there many phrases commonly misspoken in this country, hell yes. This one isn't very common but I'm guessing it has to do with the "Hoosier" accent since I most likely picked it up from my dad. He mispronounces many things and when I correct him he always says he was speaking "Hoosier." i guess i mineaswell admit the feet on this issue
  18. no way, i like the fabricated "i swear, people use this" reasoning. i mean, if someone calls you out for just making ish up, mineaswell just spin it in a completely absurd direction.
  19. lol mineaswell ignore the rules of english
  20. the combo isn't good, but i still like King. he was really on point in the playoffs last year.
  21. yeah, they're pretty bad.
  22. dear mr. rose, get healthy. thx! -Sean
