    yes, the dh can only bat for the starting pitcher So if a SP [expletive] the bed in the first 2 innings you're further punishing the team by removing a good bat out of their lineup and further decreasing any chance of a comeback? I am intrigued but it needs to be flushed out more. yes, exactly. and on the flip side, if your starting pitcher goes deep, so does your dh. these things balance out over the course of a season

    I really like this idea(if the ultimate endgame is DH) and don't think I've ever heard it before. Forgive my feeble mind, but does this mean that once you take your starting pitcher out, you lose the DH for the rest of the game? yes, the dh can only bat for the starting pitcher

    speeding up the replay process should happen. but i dunno, keeping managers chained to the dugout seems strange to me. there's a sort of theatrical element, however nonessential, that i think gets lost when you make a change like that

    that is definitely easier on the eyes than what was there previously. do you have any control over the banner styling beyond color selection and the gradient? i think it might be a nice touch to evoke the pinstripes somehow as the background layer of the banner and overlay it with a script font in the red and blue that says "north side baseball". it'd be REAL easy to make the pinstripes thing look bad so mileage may vary there

    yeah, rendered fonts with a red/blue or a red/green combination are really hard on the eyes. it's much different than when you see essentially the same thing on a physical object like a cubs jersey, for instance. also it doesn't jive with the banner styling

    pump the brakes slender man, you were not clear on the ask tim; first off, thanks for pasting this all back together second, i'd like to vote against replacing the button text with image icons for the message actions. for one, most of the images are not intuitive at all, so if you don't use them often, you end up having to bring your cursor over and hover only to find out that you need to try to find a different one and maybe that time you'll get lucky. right now the buttons have words on them and we're on a message board. there's something harmonious about that arrangement. however, looking at them as-is, they are kind of ugly and somewhat nonsensically arranged. is there a way to reorder them or even a them or arrange into different rows? they're alphabetical after a certain point, but even before that it's just kind of hodgepodge thirdly let's get rid of all the smilies except for the w flag fourthly let's leave all the old posts in the archive fifly thanks again for getting the lights back on

    eh, you're talking about a 6 win player getting "a lot better"... that's pretty dicey. can he improve? sure. but he isn't getting any faster, nor is his defense going to improve much, so he's going to need to gain better command of the zone (likely) while also missing baseballs significantly less (not that likely). that only speaks to a marginal improvement
