    all things being equal, if someone would normally get a divorce, they shouldn't if one of them has cancer? I don't really know what all things being equal means in a situation like this. ignoring the context of this situation as well as any outside factors that when introduced would change your response, if someone would normally get a divorce, they shouldn't if one of them has cancer?

    i thought people were but in a tongue in cheek manner...i figured it was like a meme/running joke. maybe i misread the way it was said. Yes, that was the joke, it's fairly dickish to divorce somebody currently fighting cancer, he's a big dumb hick who played for the cardinals let's just assume the worst and say he left her because of the cancer. all things being equal, if someone would normally get a divorce, they shouldn't if one of them has cancer?

    so, vodka is a good example to use here. also good for cleaning wounds. anyway, vodka is just whatever is pulled off the still cut with water to bring it to proof. the rub is that the distillation process produces many alcohols and compounds that can impact flavor and also maim you and/or make you feel like garbage independent of whatever normal dehydration effects you feel. if the distiller runs long in an effort to gain more efficiency, they're going to pull in some crap with it. this is probably a regular occurrence in the outhouse where burnetts is made, but less of a worry at say the buffalo trace distillery the point being that yes, the quality of an alcoholic beverage absolutely can impact the effects you feel, particularly those you associate with intoxication. the price, of course, does not

Again, it's just the alcohol, which is completely identical no matter what you're drinking, unless you [expletive] up and drink methanol Why should it matter if you're drinking methanol? Alcohol is alcohol. well, for one, methanol makes you go blind lol

    huh. i actually haven't seen it since maybe high school, but my main impression of it, other than the twist, is that it was "cheesy". i guess i'll have to give it another gander someday soylent green is PEOPLE seriously though, how does the game not get any love on this front

    usual suspects for basically all the reasons mojo mentioned. not gimmicky at all but umm how do empire strikes back and the game not make the cut and saw does? charlton heston made two movies with better plot twists than that, and both of those movies are pretty awful (planet of the apes, soylent green)

    i disagree. we should start putting "3000" in the thread titles because that makes them futuristic. no one can question the viability of a thread today if we know that it exists in the year 3000. which would be clear if the year 3000 is clearly referenced in the title
