  1. I doubt that DeRosa is even being considered at SS very much except for an emergency situation-I think he can play it, but with 2 SS's already on the roster I think Lou wants to split the innings mostly between them before shifting the starter for another position over to cover it. i meant derosa at 2nd and theriot at ss
  2. ESPN is making a big deal about Soriano. They have "DL" a few times.
  3. Is there any chance Theriot can play some SS when Ramirez gets better? Theriot had an AMAZING weekend.
  4. I'm still pissed at him for not even hitting into a double play in the 6th yesterday.
  5. I just got home. How's Marquis looking? Who's done well on offense?

  7. Weird. At 12:30 Gameday showed Cedeno. I'd be happy with that though.
  8. I love Murton, too, but the Cubs have scored 12 runs the past two days and seven yesterday. Now, will it continue? Probably not. It's a small sample size, but Floyd has the 3rd highest BA on the team so far and has played well.
  9. Cubs lineup: Soriano CF Theriot 3B Jones RF Lee 1B Barrett C Floyd LF Cedeno 2B Izturis SS Lilly P I hope Derosa and ARAM are back soon. I also hope Murton will get a start soon....
  10. It's about a game. Mods can put it somewhere else if they want. I wasn't sure where to put it.
  11. It was mentioned in the game thread.
  12. I was wondering if anybody has heard about when the makeup date will be for this game?
  13. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/cs-070413cubsramirez,1,7895661.story?coll=cs-home-headlines Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez, off to a torrid start with a .406 average, one homer and five RBI, was scratched from the Cubs lineup Friday because of swelling in his right wrist. Ramirez apparently hurt his wrist originally in spring training, but the swelling had worsened. He was sent to have the hand checked by a specialist before the Cubs played the Reds at Wrigley Field Friday, but no diagnosis was available. "He just got up this morning and had some swelling," general manager Jim Hendry said. Asked if Ramirez did something over the past two days, when the Cubs did not play, to aggravate it, Hendry replied, "No, not that I know of." Ramirez's place at third base would have been filled by Mark DeRosa, but he also was unavailable Friday because of back spasms. Utility infielder/outfielder Ryan Theriot started at third base and Ronny Cedeno at second.
  14. Does Hill pitch Friday? Or do we skip him and go to Zambrano?
  15. CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN! DEMPSTER DIDN'T SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
