    Pat said on the broadcast today that Ward would rejoin the team sometime during the Texas series. I presume that this would mean a reliever would be gotten rid of.

    You don't visit here for at least 10 minutes a day? I visit the forums for hours. The front page itself, I haven't been to in like... 3 weeks, and when I was there, I was there to get the forum link and nothing else. These are easily the best Cubs forums far and away on the net and has an awesome community. It'd be even better if it had a main front page area to rival the forums popularity Oh okay I misunderstood you. Yeah, I don't really ever visit the main page unless I'm on a different computer that doesn't have a bookmark.

    Pat said during today's broadcast that Ward is planning on rejoining the team during the Texas series next week and that Aram is going to swing a bat on Sunday. I was wondering who you guys thought would leave the team when these two come back. I am assuming that one of the eight relievers will leave; hopefully Eyre, although it may be a young arm with options like Gallagher. I know that we don't have any takers for a trade involving Eyre but I'm not sure if we're just going to DFA Eyre. Anyway, my real question involves the postion players. I am assuming that we would like to have five outfielders and so Jones and Pagan will remain on the team. We need to have two catchers, so Hill isn't going anywhere untill Blanco is back or another catcher is recalled. Given this the remaining options are Fontenot, Theriot, and Izzy. Fontenot has been amazing lately, but as far as I can see Theriot and Izzy are the only two on the team that can play shortstop. Is Lou going to be willing to have only one player on the team that can play shortstop, or is Fontenot likely the odd man out? Thanks in advance.

    Wow nice to get a comeback 1-run win! And how about that bullpen: 3 2/3 scoreless innings! So this means that you guys are going to give "automatic out" Izturis a break for what, an hour or two? :wink: On a different note, I was wondering if you guys know why Piniella made two moves that he did that really made me mad. Why did he leave Marquis in there in the 6th with the bases loaded? Why not bring in Weurtz? Also, why was Jockstrap pinch-hitting (I can't remember whether it was the 6th or the 7th)? There were runners on the corners with one outs. I would have rather seen Pagan, Theriot, or Barrett rather than Jones. Thanks for the insight.

    That is the big question. They can't go long with Eyre on the roster and a manager who is unwilling to throw him in anything resembling a close game. Especially with 4 bench players (if jones and izzy can be counted as whole players).

    Here you go, everyone who wanted Murton sent down. Problem is, our bench is now the best in the league (Hill, Izzy, Jones, Pagan) as well as being only 4 players. If management can't trust Eyre, why is he wasting a roster spot??
