  1. This is my concern. That and my desire to punch him in the face every time I see him. That could be a slight problem.
  2. Paxson doesn't want to get into the Kobe sweepstakes.
  3. Nice job Franky.
  4. Team chemistry seems to have improved (basing this simply on the fact that they are playing much better)
  5. how long until he's back in the rotation replacing someone? When is Sheets next injury scheduled for? Saturday.
  6. 8-2 Marlins, end 5.
  7. Congrats, Frank Thomas.
  8. 5-2 Marlin, middle 4th
  9. I don't think this is going to be close.
  10. 1. It's a division game 2. Even more importantly, I'm bored and this is the only NL day game. 8-) 5-0 Marlins after 3 innings.
  11. 5-0 Marlins after 2 innings
  12. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070627&content_id=2052129&vkey=news_mil&fext=.jsp&c_id=mil Yost is just being coy here. What he's really thinking is that he needs to keep Gallardo's 21-year-old arm fresh for September and October. Giving one of their 5 best starters less work now seems like a move a team makes when they really like their chances of making the postseason. They're up 7.5 games, 10.5 on the 3rd place team. I'd really like their chances, if I was them. Heck, I really like their chances, and I'm very biased against them.
  13. 6 pm CT I don't know about the clock system
  14. 4-0 Florida after 1.
  15. Who does everyone want the bulls to take? (within reason) I know a lot of people on this board don't like Noah. Who would you guys rather have? Thornton? Hawes? I don't think Jianlin will still be available.
  16. That, in addition to the fact that it's his contract year, should hopefully motivate him to be lights-out in the second half. Hopefully.
  17. 1st inning, 2-0 Marlins, bases loaded, still nobody out
  18. I couldn't find one, but feel free to lock this thread if there is another one.
  19. http://espn.go.com/mlb/s/2001/0605/1209936.html Good find.
  20. It was either in today's tribune or sun-times that I read that there are still teams interested in Jones and that "his last at-bat with the cubs may have been in the sixth innning yesterday" and that it's very likely he could be gone by the weekend. AKA: Get your hopes up, only for nothing to happen. I'm sure Hendry is working the phones hard before Friday's game since Lou wants to get back to 12 pitchers. I just doubt he's going to be able to trade Jacque if he's not allowed to pick up a huge portion of the contract. Agreed. I do believe JH is trying to do his best, but if we don't pick up at least $5-6 million, I don't see Jones going anywhere until possibly a team gets desparate at the deadline. I don't think desparate is a strong enough word for a sorry ballclub that comes to us for Jones. How about every outfielder in their system becomes simultaneously injured? That's a start.
