  1. This day is going to be so slow. I'm ready for that anthem!
  2. Operation Shutdown not hilarious enough for you anymore? Bell gets a few points just for naming his 'operation', but it just wasn't as funny as Koch after "retirement".
  3. Say that 3 times fast.
  4. They aren't spending the night in the hotel. They're spending the day in the hotel for pregame prep. It's kinda weird.
  5. The Blackhawks are checking into a hotel on Friday morning and will go through game prep in the hotel, as if it were a road game... http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/05/no-place-like-the-road-at-home-for-blackhawks.html

  7. It's the ultimate showdown of ultimate Bears destiny...
  8. I can't find a think about that Molina quote though.
  9. Bears cut Brett Basanez.
  10. both men seem like total nutsacks, though. Urlacher definitely has been, but I get the sense that he's a bit less of a douche than he used to be. He's much more outspoken in the last couple of years than he has been.
  11. Only with the French. In other traditional cycling nations (and in Belgium in particular) Armstrong is generally liked. Thanks. I knew the French for sure, but I wasn't sure how far that extended.
  12. But he's from the Pirates, and Pirates all are terrible. I mean, look at A-ram. We trade for him and BOOM.....7 years later he sucks.
  13. Very true, I just have little to no interest in limping into the playoffs and getting swept in three games again. To me, that winds up being about as fulfilling as having missed the playoffs by a few games. Go big or go home, as they say. I could not disagree more. As the White Sox in 2005 and Cards in 2006 proved, no one "limps" into the playoffs. That just proves that occasionally a team that backs into the playoffs can go all the way. But more often than not, the weak teams are going to get bounced. I don't think anyone was implying that it was likely.
  14. Well, it'll be tough to sway American public opinion...but isn't there a lot of European dislike/distrust of Armstrong already?
  15. San Jose Sharks simply aren't as good as Chicago Blackhawks
  16. I actually really like Holmes. But he's definitely good at saying some stuff to get people riled up when he wants to. For me, you can tell when he's being genuine and when he's just trying to attract listeners.
  17. Yeah...I'm guilty of buying into that crap.
  18. Up until this year, I was definitely one of the guys that would change the radio station when hockey talk started. I just wasn't into it at all. I think it was actually the game in Wrigley a year or two ago that first caught my interest a bit, and made me open my mind to the idea of liking hockey. Watched a couple of the games on NBC this year too, but it wasn't until I caught some of the Predator series that I really got into this. Now I'm reading freaking hockey blogs and forums and whatnot. Definitely a fan made here.

  20. Your Thanksgiving sounds terrible. Oh man...this had me laughing.
