  1. Here's more info on it...apparently it's part of a week long campaign from an ad agency... http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Chicago-is-daring-LeBron-James-to-play-for-the-B;_ylt=AvteSwbNBH6viIF.TVwELJm8vLYF?urn=nba,253378 http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/ct-talk-lebron-james-pitch-0702-20100701,0,4464220.column
  2. Ha...pretty cool.
  3. Jay Cutler? LeBron has said publicly that he is thinking about switching jersey numbers. In fact, he said he thinks everyone in the NBA should stop wearing #23 out of respect for Jordan. If he were to change his number (which he would HAVE to do if he played for the Bulls since 23 is retired) he is going to wear #6, which is his Olympic number. So therefore Ochocinco is saying that James is going to be a Bull. Now, I don't buy that tweet. I just thought it was humorous, so I added it to the thread. Actually, that's not quite right. He's going to wear #6 no matter where he plays...even if it's Cleveland. He's already filed the paperwork. http://www.nba.com/2010/news/03/02/lebron.number.change.ap/index.html
  4. But it's freaking Rose, Wade and Lebron. If there's a trio that you don't mind being a little backcourt heavy with, that's probably it.
  5. I wonder if the Bulls will go to Lebron tomorrow and say "We have a verbal agreement with Dwayne that if you come to Chicago, he will as well."
  6. They did fine on the dream team. The last time 2 of the top 5 players in the NBA played on the same team was Kobe and Shaq. It didn't end well for them. And even if they did win championships, they still underachieved, because they should have won every single year. They didn't even play the same (similar) position. Somehow I think Lakers fans think that 3 championships was worth the headache.
  7. Except that Wade is actually going to have a second meeting with the Bulls....
  8. Dirk is serviceable...lol
  9. I was to the point earlier where I was expecting something to happen with Wade other than him going back to Miami. Too many people saying "done deal" and "it's a formality" in regards to his other visits.
  10. I'd probably watch it. What's the problem there? Did you have a problem with Eric Karros recording events around the Cubs in 2003? Was he being an arrogant prick? No problem with it, but it makes me feel like he's just taking these meetings for the sake of the documentary, considering everyone and their mom expects him to stay in Miami. Same with Bosh due to all the reports that he was a lock to sign in Miami, but instead of taking a bunch of meetings and not committing to anyone at the moment. In the meantime, him and Wade are together at every moment not spent in meetings. Where Bosh signs is going to have a lot to do with a S&T deal...I don't think his is quite as easy as Wade's.
  11. I'd probably watch it. What's the problem there? Did you have a problem with Eric Karros recording events around the Cubs in 2003? Was he being an arrogant prick? I don't feel one way or the other, but you're not making an apples-to-apples comparison: Karros was making a doc around his team, not around him and his role in selecting a team. Eh...I never saw Karros' doc...did you? :) But fair enough...probably not a great comparison. But nonetheless I don't see a big issue with what these guys have done so far.

  13. Maybe if it was a rookie that hadn't played a game yet that was doing the same things Bosh is doing it would bother me more.
  14. Ehhh...tweeting doesn't bother me. I can see your point about some of the things that Wade has said, but I dunno...Bosh is just a little excited about getting paid something around $100 million, and I can't say I blame him there....
  15. Maybe it isn't real, but he and Wade have been arrogant pricks since this kicked off, in my estimation. In what way? I mean...tweeting too much? Other than that, what have they done? Those "people" in the Miami organization are going to get overridden...Miami won't pass on Bosh if they can get him.
  16. Yep...especially when there's players getting ridiculous contracts.
  17. A-rod and Jeter do pretty well... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/more/specials/fortunate50/ That's from 2008, so numbers may have changed...but it's the best I can find... Golf endorsements are ridiculous.
  18. There's a thread on RealGM with links to some tweets about it...that's why I called it a rumor...I don't know how valid it is.
  19. Lots of teams that have cap room and they aren't all gonna get lebron and bosh...so they'll have to spend it somewhere, and so other teams are overspending pre-emptively.
  20. Rumor is Amare to the Knicks is nearly done.
