  1. Well, it's not our biggest problem. The D-line was nothing special this year. I thought they were rather good Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk Bears were tied for 19th in sacks with 33. Brad Biggs wrote an article about the position this morning. They weren't awful or anything, but they didn't have QB's trembling in fear or anything.
  2. I think guys like Dick LeBeau (notwithstanding last night's unfortunate result; his body of work is far greater than one loss) and Bill Belichick can scheme a 3-4 to beat just about any offense. You can put a ton of pressure on offenses when the O-Line has to do a lot of thinking about where the blitz is coming from. Why on earth would we switch to a 3-4 when defense isnt our problem? Well, it's not our biggest problem. The D-line was nothing special this year.
  3. I think this was McKenzie's doing. It'd been rumored he would oust Jackson.
  4. Per Olney. So much for retirement.
  5. STOP SHOVING YOUR RELIGION IN MY FACE I HOPE HE FAILS MISERABLY I need about 200 more mentions before I actively root against him.
  6. Sharp out 3-4 weeks.
  7. I can root for NE, since I'm pretty confident that the winner of the NFC will beat whoever they end up facing in the SB.
  8. I dunno, it's hard for me to understand how people can still get annoyed at the religious stuff. Tebow has been in the spotlight for five years now and his faith has been in our faces the entire time. It does seem over-the-top, but at this point I hardly notice, except when he's praying to God on the sidelines about the outcome of a football game. So because he's done the same thing for that long means we can't get annoyed by it? Nonsense. It makes it a hell of a lot more likely(combined with his upbringing and missionary trips) that he's not putting on an act. Yeah, I wasn't really meaning to justify scarey's post. Just that I don't think it's unreasonable to be annoyed by Tebow....regardless of how "used to it" we are.
  9. Yeah, it's not like the front office has a lot of work to do to prepare for playoff games.
  10. Brad Biggs pointed out this morning on the radio that Holmgren was in Seattle for the bulk of Ruskell's reign, and that it's likely he had a large impact on who was drafted. If that helps you feel better at all. Does it make you feel any better? If they end up hiring Ruskell, I will definitely use this tidbit to rationalize.

  13. Jesus, Atlanta. Its ok to go 5 seconds without playing the organ.
  14. Pompei says that theres an internal movement to get Phillips to hire Ruskell as GM. I'd be pissed beyond belief if they did that.
  15. He looks like Patton Oswalt's long lost brother.
  16. This change seems less impactful to Jay than previous ones, though. Since Tice was already familiar with the offense, and should be on the same page with Jay, in theory.
  17. With Z gone, and Wood as yet unsigned, there are no remaining players from the 2003 team.
  18. It helps maintain a lot of flexibility for the new GM though and, it's not a drastic change for Jay. But it's oh so very Bears.
  19. Bears officially announce Tice as OC.
  20. It's better to assume that all retired wrestlers have died until proven otherwise.
