    Looks like the Kings to Seattle is more or less a done deal, and they are going to try to get the team relocated and renamed in time for the returns of the Sonics next season. All good news, imo.

    I agree to a certain extent - it is ridiculous that the Cubs cannot schedule a Friday night game to allow some rest after flying in from the road on a Friday morning. However, complete dismantling of the night games ordinance would inevitably result in day games becoming strictly a Sunday and getaway day phenomenon - TV money would see to that - and I think that would be a shame. Previous discussions were limited to merely loosening the restrictions. There's no reason for the Cubs to play more day games than other MLB teams, imo. They'll still play plenty of day baseball on the weekends. Day baseball during the week means little to me. In fact, I rather prefer night baseball during the week.

    It was on ESPN. Well crap. I'd heard them say on the radio earlier that it was on WCIU, so watched a movie instead. Ouch. The thing is, you know a game like Boston-Chicago is going to be on national TV. Watched Empire Strikes Back instead, with my 6 year old seeing it for the first time. Pretty damn good alternative.

    Looks like he started calling defensive plays in 2011, Jax was 5th (Bears 4th) in FO's defense rankings for 2011. They did drop to 28th this past season though.

    How has he managed to keep an NFL job the last 4 years? Actually I think hes a good coach who has had horrendous talent as an OC here and in baltimore. Those Pitt teams had solid offenses with Palko and then Mccoy/Stephens-Howling/Graham. I dont think Matt Cavanaugh is gonna hurt us. Well yeah, he's a QB coach. I don't think QB coach has ever hurt a team.

    Matt Cavanaugh announced as QB coach, and Skip Peete as RB coach. Cavanaugh has been QB coach for the Jets since 2009. Start the Tebow speculation?
