  1. Apparently Curt Schilling had a heart attack in 2011... http://deadspin.com/curt-schilling-had-a-heart-attack-at-age-44-1107508910
  2. Bushrod better stay healthy.
  3. I wonder if it's in his head now. Should hope not. He's bounced back from terrible 5 INT efforts before and it hasn't gotten in his head. Most likely just growing pains learning the New offense. Hasn't Jay had INT problems throughout his whole career? This isn't a new phenomenon. The consistency with which his first passes in practice have been picked during camp is, at least, quite coincidental.
  4. I wonder if it's in his head now.
  5. Haha, didn't take long for Webb to get on Trestman's [expletive] list.
  6. My wife heard his name and called him Mr Boom Bostic.

  8. Not starting a thread for this until there's more to it, but.... http://www.sbnation.com/mlb/2013/8/9/4605428/albert-pujols-steroids-jack-clark
  9. Yeah, I initially thought that. Some of his points I agree with, some I don't. I admit, I skimmed most of it, because it's rather lengthy. But I don't think it's as bad as you'd think from the title alone.
  10. Yeah, and the article is written by @DownGoesBrown. And there's a corresponding post of things that shouldn't change: http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/70866/how-wed-keep-it-the-same-15-things-that-should-never-change-in-the-nhl
  11. Matt Spaeth carted off the field for the Steelers last night.
  12. Cutler in particular won't play long. Bushrod is sketchy to play, and they don't want to put Cutler out there to get hammered.
  13. Is this code for something? Danvers is a town outside Bloomington-Normal. They have a parade/festival called Danvers Days. When the Blackhawks won the last championship, the SC was at the parade. Apparently it will be again.
  14. Stephen Walkom is no longer an on ice official. Going back to being the NHL Director of Officiating.
  15. you should love yourself as passionately Hippie.
  16. So 3 were deflections? Sounds like 2 to me...the McClellin one was a legit pick on an apparently amazing play by Shea sniffing out a screen, and then one was a miscommunication between Cutler and Marshall that hit Conte in the numbers. And apparently Cutler and Marshall weren't too happy with one another at that moment.
  17. Are we still laughing at Darren Rovell?
  18. Cutler picked off 4 times in practice. Almost all deflections at the line. McClellin had one that was apparently amazing. The coaches said after practice that the DL are not supposed to bat passes during practice, because the OL isn't allowed to cut them. Apparently they weren't listening to instructions.
  19. Jordy Nelson to miss the rest of training camp after a "procedure".
  20. Fox's broadcast teams for 2013, and their first games: Broadcasters First Game 1. Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Pam Oliver Week 1: Green Bay vs. San Francisco, 4:25 p.m. ET 2. Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, Tony Siragusa Week 1: Atlanta vs. New Orleans, 1 p.m. ET 3. Thom Brennaman, Brian Billick, Laura Okmin Week 1: Minnesota vs. Detroit, 1 p.m. ET 4. Kevin Burkhardt, John Lynch, Erin Andrews Week 1: Tampa Bay vs. NY Jets, 1 p.m. ET 5. Chris Myers, Tim Ryan, Jennifer Hale Week 1: Seattle vs. Carolina, 1 p.m. ET 6. Dick Stockton, Ronde Barber, Kris Budden Week 1: Arizona vs. St. Louis, 4:25 p.m. ET 7. Sam Rosen, Heath Evans, Molly McGrath Week 2: Detroit vs. Arizona, 4:05 p.m. ET
  21. That theory is out there, but: http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id/58831/will-young-have-enough-time-to-compete
  22. Well, the Packers will have Vince Young out there if/when Rodgers goes down. That should be fun.
  23. That's weird...because we didn't trade any of our good players for future talent at the deadline... Oh wait... First, I just mentioned it simply because I was surprised they were that close, shocked we're behind the mets Your statement would make sense if not for the fact that since Feldman was traded we are 14-14, since Garza was traded 6-7, and since Soriano(4-5). So unless you are talking about the big loss of Hairston and Marmol, we are actually playing at a better % since the starting to trade than our overall record. Other than that it's right on. By the way we've won 2 of 3 Rusin starts for Garza. Villanueva is 1-5 replacing Feldman, but he's had one bad start. he's lost 1-0, 3-1,3-2 and 6-5 (where he gave up 4). So maybe we win an extra game or 2 with Feldman... but maybe none. Then factor in the start of Lake in Soriano's place, and I am not sure where that big drop off from the trade is happening. but carry on, don't let facts deter you.. Hey, since we're talking about facts, how do you figure that the Cubs have gone 4-5 since the Soriano trade, when they've lost 7 of their last 8?
