  1. Plus he's won two World Series'.
  2. This doesn't make sense to me. Theo had a very successful pre-Cubs career. If Andy MacPhail can find post-Cubs work, surely Theo can. It's not like he's had a lot of past Cubs success to measure up to. Baseball loves to recycle the same guys over and over again. Theo wouldn't be out of baseball unless he wanted to be. If he fails here, it certainly would limit his possibilities. Teams that are rebuilding or have budgetary constraints might think twice about hiring him. No, they wouldn't.
  3. This was not in the "bat boy" job description. http://wapc.mlb.com/play/?topic_id=21753540&content_id=29715217 EDIT: Oops, corrected link.

  5. Then I think that's a standard that the robots can measure up to. Players might be a little upset that they can't argue with the ump though. Wait till Ortiz goes all crazy with the bat on the ball/strike camera.
  6. Screw you. It's not coming soon enough. I'm done celebrating. I want to see hockey.
  7. Define "acceptably accurate". Are umpires acceptably accurate? If they're not, why should the robots be held to such a lofty standard?
  8. Poor Luongo....
  9. http://24.media.tumblr.com/9231f5a0568516cf2aae76ee3183918e/tumblr_mnzm1jXJ0w1sp0wbko1_400.png EDIT: Oops, apparently this is from last year's Halloween. Oh well, still funny.

  11. Oh god, I'm normally not sympathetic toward the Patriots, but I realllllly don't wanna hear the stupid Tebow discussions that are forthcoming.
  12. I also had not heard of crunchy people.
  13. Jay Cutler Hoping To Prove Doubters Whatever In Contract Year
  14. http://www.section303.com/preds-getting-creative-to-keep-the-red-out-sorry-chicago-fans-51051 Who cares? They'll probably be cheaper on Stubhub anyways. Right, seems like a lot of hoops to jump through when the secondary market is gonna be where I imagine most visiting fans get their tickets anyway.
  15. So Nashville really doesn't like Chicago fans buying tickets in Nashville... http://www.section303.com/preds-getting-creative-to-keep-the-red-out-sorry-chicago-fans-51051
  16. That's pretty unfortunate for him. He didn't need to be a pro-bowler, but he did need to avoid [expletive] the bed.
  17. Makes sense due to W+S moving to the afternoon slot. It does...just means I'll probably end up listening the day after at work instead of live.
  18. Trestman was raving, saying how this was one of the best practices they've had so far.
  19. Jay Cutler show will now be on ESPN Radio at 5pm the day after games.
  20. Yeah, and I believe the concern is that Webb(6'7", 333lbs) had such a huge size advantage on Johnson (6'2", 285lbs), who made the sack.
  21. Isn't Hub some weird, crazy old man? More or less. He still covers the Bears on the radio all the time, but hates them because they fired him years ago. I'm just always amused by his continued bitterness.
  22. Hub on the radio. Thinks that if Long and Mills start the opener for the Bears, that the Bears are in trouble.
  23. X-rays negative. Calling it a foot strain.
  24. @ESPNChiBears Another bad shotgun snap. 4th of practice. 3 were by backups, just one of the four on Roberto Garza. #Bears
  25. @ASPE_sportmedia Vikings writer Dan Wiederer (@StribDW) leaving Star Tribune to cover Bears for Chicago Tribune. Didn't Sean Jensen come from Minny too? EDIT: Aww...Jensen left the Sun Times. That's too bad...I liked him.
