The Bears have hired martial arts expert Joe Kim to help develop hand technique and skill development. He will reportedly work with all of the position groups to help improve players' ability to block or escape blocks. Apparently this is the 9th team he will have worked with.

I'm trying to think of a reason for him timing his announcement, and I guess he maybe wanted to get ahead of the game before the combine. But maybe he just wanted a challenge. Either way, he needs to play in the NFL. Outsports had a "how this happened" story and basically, they wanted to give teams as much time as possible to process the information and move on. So many people knew that it was impossible to keep a secret through the draft process anyway. Yeah, and there was plenty of rumors...some reporters already knew and were keeping it under wraps...it was going to get out on its own before the draft.

Sadly, you're correct. I believe it was the SI story that said Sam would be well off in an organization like Pittsburgh or Green Bay, but I think being in a low-profile organization like St. Louis, Arizona or Jacksonville would also work. I dunno...on those teams he'd really be THE story. Really, what else would Jacksonville beat reporters have to talk about? But put him on a team that has other storylines, and maybe he can get a little "lost".

I'll play your weird game. Hendry was the grizzled veteran that had never won a thing but was "scrappy" and came up with the occasional big play and Theo was the youngster that experienced early success and then took a big time deal with a crummy team as a foundation to build around.

Bernstein talking about it now on the radio. Words being used: "Frustrations at a peak". Remaining dead enders refusing to negotiate, one in particular. Not negotiating in good faith. Making room miserable. Inability to have the threat of lawsuit is keeping them from starting work. Believe that they've lost a substantial amount of revenue from the delay.

I'm sick of Papa Johns because they sell it by the slice in the cafeteria at work. I just can't do it anymore. Otherwise I'm with you. I'll eat just about any pizza. My son loves Little Ceasars, and hey...a $5 pizza...sure, what the hell. We just got a D'Agostino's down here and I gave it a shot and really was pretty meh about it.
