  1. Can this possibly stand up to appeal? I'm no lawyer of course, but it seems to be an odd way to go about this. The same thing happened in 1992, but was overturned on appeal based on a technicality that they believe has been resolved this time. It'll be obviously be appealed and will drag out. I don't know that it's an odd way...it's a great way, because if successful, it actually financially punishes Snyder for continuing to keep this name.
  2. The patent office cancels the trademark for Redskins football. http://thinkprogress.org/sports/2014/06/18/3450333/in-landmark-decision-us-patent-office-cancels-trademark-for-redskins-football-team/
  3. LA parade vs Chicago parade http://wfld.images.worldnow.com/images/3984263_G.jpg
  4. Man, that's a lot of typing and accurate spelling for a phone post. Well done.

  6. Spurs Yankees Knicks One of these things is not like the others.
  7. The best part of this...how butthurt Florio is: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/06/13/evan-mathis-strikes-again/ EDIT: Mathis tweeted another photo showing the "tablecloth" to be a polo shirt. And the receipt, if you read the first letter of each item, spells "Rock paper scissors roshambo"
  8. Really? That's going to turn the general public on him? I seriously doubt that.
  9. only as long as your interest. so like two weeks tops. You guys started too early. Who cares about these other countries playing? 'Merica don't play till Monday...that's when my interest begins.
  10. As fluff articles go, that's a pretty good one.
  11. Disappointed, but not surprised.
  12. They had a professional indoor league back in the late 70s/ early '80s. The Chicago Sting had a German guy named Karl Heinz Granitza or something like that and the game scores would be like 9-7. Now that's a sport worth watching. Also, there's too many players on the field. It should be something like 5 on 5.
  13. Man that really makes me want to watch a Bears Hard Knocks. I forgot that Chris Harris was a coach.
  14. How many challenges does each team get?
  15. Per Chad Ford:
  16. I like it. I think we should similarly forbid the use of the word "pitch". It's a soccer field.
  17. Clausen's 1 year deal is $645k, no signing bonus.
  18. Short answer...you can't get behind the defense without the ball. http://pad2.whstatic.com/images/thumb/f/fb/Understand-Offside-in-Soccer-(Football)-Step-2Bullet2.jpg/670px-Understand-Offside-in-Soccer-(Football)-Step-2Bullet2.jpg The red guy on the right is offside if the ball is passed to him, because there's no blue defender between him and the goal. (Keeper doesn't count.)
  19. The Marshall thing looks like it was a trip with some friends family, possibly related to his foundation...nothing Bears related.
  20. Hasn't Hard Knocks been out of the question for a while since multiple teams had volunteered? That seems to be something that was said, but who knows exactly how that selection process is going to work. Admittedly, Marshall didn't say it was going to be a big day for the Bears, so he could've been referring to something else entirely.
  21. B-Marsh tweeted that today is going to be a big day. Saw some theories that Bears would be announced for Hard Knocks... Then I noticed this MMQB article, and wondered if that's all it is... http://mmqb.si.com/2014/06/09/jay-cutler-marc-trestman-bears-locker-room-dr-z/
  22. I liked baseball better then. I hate admitting that.... Actually I liked the era between the steroid area and this current dead ball era, where not everyone was doping, but some guys still were. Less guilt enjoying that product. Why feel guilty? You weren't doping...or were you???? guilty watching players who are killing themselves for my enjoyment I see. Well good news....I'm sure football players banging their heads against each other repeatedly has no long lasting consequences you should feel guilty about watching.
