Any Bulls fan who pretends he would not be able to enjoy LeBron on the Bulls is a liar There's no comparison in talent levels of course, but it'd be much like the Cubs and Edmonds. Hated the guy, didn't want him, but once he's on the team and helping us win, I'd get over it. Doesn't stop my irrational dislike for him now though.

That is just...unbelievable. It's almost like people in this city forgot how the Bulls won six [expletive] championships in eight years. The best players win. To not want the greatest player in this current generation because you want to build the team "the right way" (the hell does that even mean?) is absurd. Meatball city. I admit, I don't like Lebron, and though I recognize it's ridiculousness, I don't want him. It's irrational, and I won't try to defend it. I like to think I'm not a meatball fan, but in this case, there's little doubt.

Thanks, but I don't need buddies. I just want the Cubs to win in a reasonable time frame. define "win" Not to speak for him, but I'll define it as making the playoffs. "Win" can mean at the gate or team success. I don't know what the priority is with the Org. Wouldn't signing big names be the way to increase gate success? Kind of silly to believe that's the aim at the cost of winning, because if that's true, they've been a massive failure. It's reasonable to be burnt out by the long term plan...it's really hard to fault anyone for that. I certainly am. I don't watch the Cubs like I used to...or baseball as a whole for that matter. Most of my posts on this board these days have nothing to do with the Cubs. But I do think "the plan" will be successful in the long run...you can see some of that coming along now. That doesn't really help, though, when you're watching tons and tons of losses. I don't question the org's motives...but there's plenty of things to question.
