  1. Cubs season in quotes...tons of quotes, I pasted a few of my favs... http://www.csnchicago.com/cubs/year-cubs-quotes
  2. Will you find it hard to get excited about a FA pitcher until the Cubs actually sign one, or you will not be excited even after they sign one for some irrational "money wasting" phobia? It's more of an injury phobia more than any money wasting thing. It's not a super rational fear.
  3. The FCC ditched the blackout rule. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/09/30/fcc-unanimously-dumps-blackout-rule/
  4. I'm going to find it very difficult to get excited about FA pitcher signings. I know it needs to happen, obviously...but ugh...

  6. Per his twitter, Sunday was his last day at CSN. He said he chose to move on and will be moving to Oakland.
  7. IIRC, commissioner's discretion from a list that includes losing future draft picks at a minimum and includes forfeiting games. They'll be under. Had a hockey guy at work tell me that nothing would happen this year, but they'd take a cap penalty next year. That seemed pretty ripe for abuse.
  8. Martellus: "There's two places where inches matter, and the football field is one of them."
  9. Orton replacing Manuel as QB in Buffalo.
  10. So, what happens if the Hawks don't get under the cap by opening day?
  11. Hmm The main reason is meaningless sample sizes. Plus, if he's getting pressured, they're probably blitzing, and thus there's less coverage downfield.
  12. It sucks that this play got lost in that crappy game... http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--clJbhUMX--/c_fit,fl_progressive,q_80,w_636/ocheeaqvq5jxsvlrjp1t.gif
  13. Explain. Not that I don't think you know what you're talking about, but I was online and the feed isn't exactly HD clear. Run game finally got going (though I didn't see a ton of interior push. Cutler was protected pretty well. If I had to guess, I'd say DLP was no worse than OK. It looked like Kyle Long was excellent from what I could tell, though. The snap issues mostly, but there was more to it than that, and now it's lost in my brain because the 2nd half of that game obviously is more memorable...for all the wrong reasons.
  14. Well...this is a thing that was posted on the internet...so...yeah... http://www.goerie.com/kevin-cuneo-labor-backs-domitrovich#

  16. I've decided I'm going to concede all Packers games, at least for the near future, and just hope if/when we make the playoffs, we don't have to face them. I don't know why, they just have our number.
  17. For all the whining I did about Garza maybe getting his starting job back, De La Puente really had a crummy game against the Packers from what I saw.
  18. Bears are undefeated on the road. Winless at home. Assured victory.
  19. Ouch. For all the talk about how great the Willie Young signing was, and how Allen finally came on late in the Jets game, Houston's struggles have really stayed under the radar. Partly because PFF loved Houston weeks one and three. I wonder why. He's clearly not getting to the QB. He must be doing something great as far as run stopping.

  21. @nfldraftscout Get those excuses started early, guys. RT @jpparis98: the refs are up 7-0 on the packers
  22. That was a fun read. An interesting outsider perspective.
  23. Nobody besides Derwood is really trying to make a case for Columbus...but clearly David's made up criteria is heavily flawed.
