    It's funny how long lasting obscure childhood experiences can have on you. Without getting into the gory details, there's a couple of foods I don't like to this day because I got sick shortly after eating it as a child.

    ESPN shuts him down for the rest of the season. Gotta think they'll quietly dump him on some Friday night during the offseason.

    No comment is for team officials. Toews is talking about the players interacting with each other. I can see where you are coming from and do not think it was a great statement, but I don't see the foot in mouth quote there. All the talk radio people on twitter are aghast. It wasn't elegant at all, but I think it's easy enough to understand what Toews was trying to say, even if he didn't quite nail it. He's never given a hint of being a well spoken guy. But he's the only remaining face of the franchise with teeth in his mouth and is going to be facing a lot of cameras the next few weeks. And i'm guessing Blackhawks PR has already spoken to him since this interview and said "um, maybe lets not talk about this".

    Actually, Mully and Hanley does extremely well in the ratings. They're something like 6th in all of Chicago on morning radio, and 2nd in sports/talk behind some spanish language network. http://www.robertfeder.com/2014/10/27/bears-talk-boosts-the-score-in-morning-ratings/ That's from last year, but give you an idea....

    It's the ones where kids are surprised by a returning military parent that I'm a sucker for... As neat as those are, I have to imagine the surprise has to be negated a bit when they're dragged onto the field beforehand. Kids are stupid. But really, I'm talking mostly about the ones where the parents surprises the kid at school...excusing the cameras as being for a local news story on the class or something. Some bad quality gifs here but...

    So, I've been enjoying the schadenfreude that is the Nationals and Matt Williams, and I know we don't have much of a division title chance at this point, but dammit, the fun is gone when Williams' stupidity starts giving the Cardinals free wins.
