  1. Some reddit communities are pretty decent. Cubs reddit is not one of them.
  2. That was a fun weekend and a solid atmosphere And an exciting finish, from what I read. Too bad it wasn't on a real tv channel.
  3. If he gets hit by a bat I doubt his parents would take any solace in "well at least he was distracted by something other than a phone." C'mon. I wasn't making anything close to that point. OK, then lets at least acknowledge that smart phones aren't going anywhere. People being distracted at sporting events isn't getting less common, it's getting more common. People can shout at the sky all they want about horrible technology is, but it's here for good. Which only increases the need for more netting and protection for people that are sitting close enough for bats to sail into the stands and hit them, or their kids.
  4. Seems like Kaplan has had other media people countering him on twitter a fair amount recently.
  5. Phil Rogers picks Heyward to win the NL MVP, the Cubs to win 100 games, but lose to the Royals in the WS. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/160855212/10-bold-predictions-for-2016-baseball-season
  6. It's a kid. If he's not distracted by a smart phone he could be distracted by a mascot or dot race on the scoreboard. There's no shortage of things to distract at a sporting event. At least that is happening in real life. You know, his surroundings? Meh, I'm glad I haven't reproduced. If he gets hit by a bat I doubt his parents would take any solace in "well at least he was distracted by something other than a phone."
  7. Olt DFA'd.

  16. Rondon Fan It seems a lot of the other game thread freak out people either left when the Cubs dominance was too undeniable or just got tired of being berated. I'd put high odds on StylesClash too.
  17. Ugh, I misread the time...thought it was 6:45cst. 5:45 is too early for live viewing.

  19. Curt Schilling said more dumb crap, this time about burying HIllary Clinton under a jain somewhere...ESPN says "they are addressing it."
