  1. Apparently Schilling said on the Dan Patrick Show that he was making $2.5mil/year at ESPN........
  2. The weather isn't looking good on this. Jesse Rogers said a lengthy delay or postponement is likely. Probably not the worst thing in the world after yesterday's game, honestly.
  3. Maybe, but I love fun, and thought that was very fun. So I guess it brings joy to all.
  4. It's up to 107 now, and a 23% chance to win the WS. The Mets are second in the WS chance with 8%.
  5. Do the Padres have fans? It doesn't appear that they have a message board that's not affiliated with MLB or the newspaper.
  6. They should bat Murphy 4th to start with.
  7. Need more Baez in this lineup. I'm not sure if I'd rather have him at 2nd or 3rd though. 2nd Baez, 3rd Bryant, LF Zobrist or 2nd Zobrist, 3rd Baez, LF Bryant I'm leaning toward the former, but would be completely comfortable with the latter.
  8. This year might have the most meaningful Cubs-Sox series...ever? I mean...as much as an interleague series can be.
  9. The crazy thing about the Nats needing protection after Harper, is that they arguably have it. I'd have been much more concerned with Murphy batting after Harper.
  10. It is sometimes interesting to look down upon the peasants.
  11. On a foul ball.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHdwkoWQLuk
  12. i guess it sounds bad (especially to the meatball crowd), but it's really easy to concuss yourself or griffey your wrist if you go into that wall at full steam. he's way too valuable to hurt himself on a play like that. Yeah, I'm not saying he's wrong.

  14. Haha, what? The Blackhawks are a dynasty already. The Cubs are a hopeful one. I know. But he referenced a specific season, not a time period. He referenced a season where the Blackhawks began with 24 games without losing. Then you tried to say "yeah but dynasty", which is ALSO a thing the Blackhawks are. Your argument makes no sense.
  15. I mean, you did see Jason Hammel pitch today, right? And Travis Wood? Sure, but this was really the first time we had seen Hammel struggle this season. Fair point on Wood.
  16. 2013 (shortened season) blackhawks Well, as far as a single season, maybe. But I was speaking more to the dynasty aspect. We aren't going away anytime soon. I'm 26, and the Cubs have had a few good years in my lifetime. But, we have never been set up to be good for an extended period of time. Haha, what? The Blackhawks are a dynasty already. The Cubs are a hopeful one.
  17. Screw the trade deadline. I have no use for it.
  18. Yeah, I think if there was no flag there it would have just missed the pole. Like seriously by less than 2 inches. But the flag is there, and it's not like it was blowing fully stretched out in foul territory. MLB network showed a statcast of the homer (which I cannot for the life of me find online), and it looked like it may have hit the pole, even if there were no flags. Incredibly difficult to say though. Whatever was called on the field was gonna stand.
  19. This is often said, but I'm not convinced. This team is unimproveable.
  20. I admit it seems that way from the camera angle, but I think it's absolutely impossible to tell without a camera angle directly down the line, which inexplicably doesn't exist.
