  1. Whatever rep you have, you've earned.
  2. Hahaha, it's funny when people have a moral objection to a guy being on their favorite baseball team that is a domestic violence incident in his recent history. Good one. It was more commentary on the horse being beaten to death in this thread. Someone made a suggestion to have a Chapman: Good Baseball Player and a Chapman: Awful Human Being thread, which I thought was a good idea. It's a terrible idea. That just make it easier to ignore the things that make him a terrible human, and those things shouldn't be ignored.

  4. ...in jail! -half of the posters here Hahaha, it's funny when people have a moral objection to a guy being on their favorite baseball team that is a domestic violence incident in his recent history. Good one.
  5. This is on par with my feelings.... [tweet] [/tweet]
  6. Note for future reference. You make enough weird posts that you should never, ever use sarcasm. Just don't.
  7. Yep, except Nightengale says its 4-1. Heyman's tweet says 3-1 and the SB Nation article citing Heyman says 3-1. No it doesn't. Heyman's tweet names 3 players and says "1 more likely".
  8. If you're gonna get bad food, you at least wanna get your money's worth.
  9. I'm not sure why we wouldn't pay that. Hardly seems like a deal breaker, in any case.

  11. i really think the 4-for-1 is assuming extension, and if that can't be reached it'll look more palatable from our end i'm not sweating it, but i'll be fairly surprised if it plays out differently if steinbrenner approved, and everything else has been agreed on, it seems like that has to be the hold up at this point. It's Sharma that keeps shooting down the extension idea though, right?
  12. That'd actually be pretty funny because with Warren in the deal it'd be like an "undo".
  13. that's gotta be Rizzo Nah he was sexting with LaStella. That's why he insists on the 3am nickname. That's their hookup time.
  14. it's not about "Torres", it's the perceived value of each piece. Chapman is only signed through the end of the year so the concern is that, while he is a tremendous value, we may be parting with more value than we should for the marginal short-term upgrade I understand the criticisms of the trade but i think there's a bit of hyperbole being used in this thread. I mean, Chapman is really [expletive] good. There may be some hyperbole, but there's a lot of justification as well. People talking themselves into being ok with paying too much.
  15. I think most of the problems in Olympic build ups prior to Sochi were more political in nature. Less about facilities and disease.
  16. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2014/02/04/journalists-at-sochi-are-live-tweeting-their-hilarious-and-gross-hotel-experiences/ I'm confused...is there stuff before Sochi here? Sorry, misunderstood your question. I just thought you were asking if there were problems in the lead-up to Sochi.
  17. Heyman gonna Heyman. Does he ever break anything at all on his own? At least its not this: [tweet]https://twitter.com/JulieDiCaro/status/757584000173178880[/tweet] Posted about 5 minutes ago what everyone else posted an hour ago Bruce Levine was several hours late getting in on the Chapman info last night. Was quite funny how late it was.

  19. They always feel that way, but this was feels like it's taking it to a whole new level.
  20. Probably cause it's not. The talking heads are all over the place and have no clue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk They're not really all over the place. They're pretty consistent at this point in that Torres is the main piece and only Chapman is coming back. Also seems like Warren is definitely one of the players. Yeah...reports are pretty focused at this point.
  21. Yes. And her takes are bad on the radio too. I don't think I'm being unfair here. I criticize most of those radio people for their [expletive] takes. Kaplan, Rozner, Abbatacola, DiCaro, whoever. I do think she has some bad sports opinions. But since she's not a beat writer, I don't really think of what she tweets as much more than twitter rumor fodder. I'm not arguing that she's Rosenthal or Heyman. But I don't think she should be held to that standard either. I hold her to the standard I'd hold any Cubs blogger that claims to have sources.
  22. I'll feel at least slightly better if we get some other stuff out of this. I still wonder if this will include MIller. It'd make a lot more sense with some of the names being thrown around.
  23. Uh, ok. Not really relevant, but neat. The Warren and Candelario nonsense came from the Post. Rosenthal just said "maybe" on Warren. We don't know enough about any of this to criticize any reporting, imo.
