Yeah, I don't see a lot to be gained by having Schwarber catch, unless it's just the freedom to be able to use another catcher to pinch hit late knowing that Schwarber is there in case of emergency.
Moz said that Reyes had an MRI, but they don't know the results yet. Reyes informed medical staff that he was feeling discomfort in his right elbow. No results till tomorrow.
What am I missing here? pitchers and catchers report earlier than position players, yada yada yada, the bisque was good. Right, nevermind that plenty of other players are reporting early. I don't think Rizzo thinks he's a catcher, but he's there.
Is there any thought that if they ever actually implemented this rule it would be for regular season only at least? Not that I'd like it in any form, but the argumemts for it seem espeially weak in the context of playoffs. I would guess it'd be regular season only, but then you play all season with one extra inning strategy and have to change it for the playoffs....not ideal.
