At this point, why? The opportunity to get the 14th pick instead of the 15th pick is marginal. Everyone already knows how bad and depressing this team is, yet at the same time how safe GarPax and Fred are at least for this season, so missing the playoffs doesn't really change Reinsdorf's plans for the offseason. Those are really the 2 benefits to missing the playoffs right? (along with 'this team is so depressing i cant stand to watch them play basketball but since its the playoffs i'd have to watch). You pick 1-2 spots higher with a 1 in 100 shot at having a top 3 pick. I'd rather just watch a couple of playoff games with rooting interest even though we know they will be housed. Also, if the Bulls can lose to a Melo/KP/Rose-less Knicks team they can lose to a bunch of D-League guys with something to prove tonight. I think this Bulls team needs a major overhaul, including the front office. I think that's less likely to happen if they make the playoffs. It's admittedly probably unlikely in either case, to be fair, but I still think missing the playoffs provides the best opportunity for that.

God I hope the Bulls lose tonight. They probably won't, cuz for some reason the Nets are resting pretty much everyone for no reason, but the Bulls really need to miss the playoffs.

They're sitting Molina and Diaz with an of day tomorrow, and starting Matt horsefeathering Adams in LF again, so yes. I hope they never fire Matheny.

They announced this a few months ago...he's getting a street dedicated to him in Humboldt Park. I thought it was weird as horsefeathers too. But then, it doesn't look like the bar is real high for those honorary street signs. And apparently Javy thinks it's humble park. I mean, it's definitely possible, and it totally fits Javy's personality. But it's probably just as likely that his phone autocorrected.

SSS and stupid to take anything as meaningful right now but he certainly looks closer to 2014 Javy so far this year than last years improvement Javy, especially last night. Part of that is probably due to the fact over half his PAs this year have been vs RHP so far. It's almost as if his PAs against them should be limited or something. Eh, he's at the bottom of the order, and it's obvious that Joe wants to have Javy out there every day. The Cubs can afford to let him make some adjustments and try to get better.

But then, it doesn't look like the bar is real high for those honorary street signs. He's the only Puero Rican player on the WS roster, and Humbolt Park is a heavily Puero Rican area. That's the only real justification I've seen.
