    I heard that Gammons interview this morning, not to contradict your guy at work but Gammons never said that. There was speculation about it but there was no confirmation. Gotcha. I was kinda hoping someone else heard it and would confirm/deny it, cuz it surely isn't being reported anywhere else.

    Jason Stark was all worried about baseball not having a "face" yesterday on twitter. Brandon McCarthy and Len Kasper both made arguments that it's because baseball is way more regional than other sports. With the NFL, in particular, you see a lot more of the other teams around the league other than just your team. Sure, plenty of baseball fanatics see plenty of other teams, but your casual fans less so. The argument being that the "face" of baseball is more about the "face" of your team, or at least your region. And also that that's ok.

    Honestly, that sounds pretty good. It would be pretty good with a type of cheese other than provel. I thought they only used that horsefeathers on pizza, and I only mostly hated them. Now... honestly, the whole city needs wiped off the face of the Earth. I honestly hadn't heard of provel before...but the wikipedia entry is great...

    what's crazy is with these guys if anything it's been the opposite of what he was saying . none of the scouting reports had guys like javy, addy, KB, etc. as great as they are defensively. of course, considering addy and JB were shortstops, they were supposed to be pretty good to good but there wasn't really talk of them being elite impact/difference making defensive players (in fact, some reports even questioned whether they could stick at SS)...and obviously there were some iffy reports on KB at 3B (not saying there weren't good ones too). i just don't think the scouting reports were as high as they should've been on these guys as defenders when they were coming up. There were questions about Addy sticking at SS? I thought he had the "double plus hands".

    Will be paired with Nantz as CBS's #1 team, and may even do some golf broadcasting. Where is Phil Simms going? Nobody knows right now.
