  1. challenge the catch! what the hell! they'll screw it up and rule it a drop or something.
  2. lol..what's falling on the field?
  3. If that call decides this game....
  4. TERRIBLE CALL
  5. WOW
  6. As someone who is rooting for the Colts, I can honestly say I didn't see the flinch of Faneca like Dick and Dorf so adamantly saw. As someone that doesn't care either way, I can say the same thing.
  7. Maybe they should give the officials 2 replays per game where if they know they didn't see it, they can replay it?
  8. No ref saw this...hilarious....and replay can't help.
  9. I have butterflies too. The Bears better win so I'm in the right mood for 24 tonight!!!
  10. I missed it...what did manning do?
  11. because its a football game? that, and because there is no roof. Oh, okay. I don't know why I thought they had one. Is Houston the only team that has one? Minnesota, Indy...that's just off the top of my head. Detriot... I think he means one that opens and closes. Yeah...I just edited my post.
  12. because its a football game? that, and because there is no roof. Oh, okay. I don't know why I thought they had one. Is Houston the only team that has one? Are you talking about retractable roofs? Cuz Minnesota and Indy have roofs....not retractable though.
  13. Odd stat.
  14. I have a question: If it's so difficult for a "postseason-inexperienced quarterback" to win in the playoffs, as I keep reading on all the "expert" sites, how did Jake Delhomme get a 4-1 playoff record, or Tom Brady get a 10-0 (or whatever it is) playoff record? Maybe the rest of the team has something to do with it too...
  15. You have a point, the front 7 does make the secondary better. However, the secondary is a very talented group. Mike Brown has performed at a very high level since he's been in the league. Neither Tillman or Vasher are "shutdown" corners, but both have exceptional playmaking abilities. Chris Harris is a rookie that is still proving himself, but I've liked what I have seen so far. Tillman,Vasher, and Brown have illustrated their talent in prior seasons, outside of this years dominating defense. The week 11 was definitely a bright spot for the Bears defense, but its not like they went out and sacked opponents QB's 8 times every game. The Bears D doesn't blitz non stop, these DB's deserve much credit in regards to their cover and playmaking skills. I'm not sure if any single DB on the Bears is considered "great", but as a unit, they're one of the best in the league. Ladies and Gentlemen, the best name on NSBB!! Agreed, and Welcome! :D
  16. I emailed the author to find out whether those were actually Baker's answers. I'll post any reply I get.
  17. That doesn't exactly sound like a manager committing to player, does it? "Right now Todd Walker is our second baseman." Then, "we have about 10 weeks before we start blah-blah-Opening-Day-blah." Sounds to me like Walker's gone. It's the closest thing we've gotten to commitment though. We're grasping at straws here...join us! =P~
  18. I may have missed this in another thread somewhere, so let me know if this is duplicate info. From a Baker Q and A on Chicagosports.com EDIT: As noted throughout this thread, this may not be a direct Baker quote, but rather a supposition of possible answers at the convention.
  19. Sweet! According to Rotoworld, Deshaun Foster is playing Washington on Saturday, so that should really make the Sunday game much easier on the Bears....
  20. Yeah, but they changed the rules after that year so that cornerbacks can't cheat, tackle, bite, mug, etc., WRs coming off the line of scrimmage. So Manning will not be that effective. And when did Gamble and Lucas become known as some of the best corners in this league? Gamble is on his 2nd year. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/playerrankings/regularseason/DB Gamble is ranked 20th...14 places behind Tillman, 2 ahead of Vasher. Lucas is 30th. FWIW, when it comes to baseball Sportsline's rankings are absolutely worthless. It's the same system for football, but I don't know how they came to the rankings. Quite possible. Was just the rankings I knew how to get relatively quickly. I'm open to any other player rankings that are out there.

  22. Foster sat out yesterday with a "nagging case of turf toe". He did practice today, but that could be a factor on Sunday.
  23. In Week 11 Peterson had 4 carries for 37 yards and a 9.3 average. Jones's longest run that week was 20 yards and Petersens 19. I like the way the Bears mix the two backs. Jones gets out there and wears the defense out. Then get Petersen in there and throw some of that quickness at them. We have 3 backs with 3 styles so that is a plus. I really don't want to see Benson out there much though. He's been out for the bulk of the season for one reason or another, and frankly unless it's a blowout in either direction (which I don't forsee), I'd rather he just watch and soak in the playoff atmosphere, and be there in case (God forbid) one of the other 2 goes down.
