Whoever is printing all these "lies". The authors of this book coming out for one. San Fransico Chronicle, which is often quoted by the rest of the media as a source for the anti-Bonds stories for another. I don't think Bonds problem is that he doesn't know who to sue. I think it's that he doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Non of these "non-signings" are anything I'm getting worked up over or anything, but sure seems like ppl are like "oh yeah, I'll come be all nice and visit the Bears, but no way I'm signing with them"... :?

Nothing really knew here, except that it comes from a former Cub.

I've never liked Collins, even when he had his decent seasons. He's a 70-something rated QB, he throws INTs up the whazzoo and I don't know if he's ever completed 60% of his passes. I think he'll be moderately expensive, looking for a starting job, and not friendly to young QBs taking his time. I think he could be a decent backup QB, but I don't have interest in him being the Bears' backup QB. I'd rather they spend their money on other positions. I won't complain if they sign him, but I think it would be a misappropriation of funds. I agree. Just was throwing it out there for discussion. :) He did get cut today.

I've never liked Bonds....who does? And I'd always suspected he used, but for some crazy reason this article actually got me more angry than any previous steroids article. Maybe it's just because it spelled out exactly the though process and actions he was taking rather than the all encomassing "he's on the juice" phrase...maybe it's because I was in denial over a lot of the steroid controversy, who knows...but this article got me mad. I've always hoped Barry wouldn't break the record, but now his breaking it would actually anger me. I've always thought those that wanted to somehow alter the record books to take out the 'Roid users were crazy, but now I find myself trying to figure out how we can "untaint" the game. I guess I was just pretty naive about the whole thing...I guess that's what really has me angry. Anyway, like you said my mind was made up long ago on Bonds, but the article still had an effect on me.

Both guys, Frank and Kenny, are idiots. Everyone saw Frank for what he was...an ego-driven malcontent trying to make one last sad run on another team, spouting off about his former team. Kenny didn't need to say anything, and he would have been far more respected for it. Winning is the best way the Sox could have responded. I'm sure everything Kenny said was right...it just shouldn't have been said, especially not to the media. -
:!: I had completely fogotten about this. Okay, I sorta cheated. My location made it much more easy for me to remember it. :wink: Yeah I'd forgotten as well. So if no team offers him a "big" deal, offer him a smaller one. Let him back up Grossman as he rehabs. We know Grossman will go down quickly anyway.... :P

I just came here to post about this. I like Grossman, but this is a move that needs to be made. I don't know how good he'd be without LT. But he's a QB with experience...and no matter how much we like Grossman, it's something he doesn't have. How about a Purdue QB monopoly? heh.
