  1. Isn't that what everyone criticizes Benson for? Benson can't do worse than Jones on pass blocking AND he can run. Preaching to the choir.
  2. And Jones is holding cuz he still can't pass block.
  3. The Giants are really exposing the O-line pretty hard.
  4. Ohhhh...I know what Tom Coughlin said...naughty boy...
  5. Actually, it could be a short night, because I'll turn it off...
  6. Not if they give up on the run in the red zone...
  7. I gotta admit...I'm nervous. I'm too attached to my teams...
  8. Jeremy Shockey in a pregame teaser: "They are what Dennis Green thought they were. They're beatable."
  9. So they didn't deactivate Strahan?
  10. Well in fact we are higher than we were before. Derreck Lee isn't injured, we do not have Pierre in CF. We are not paying Wood $13 million. Miller is probably close to fully rehabed and is only getting $0.5 million more and could be our #5 next year (in APRIL). Prior "could" come back. We have a hitting coach that preaches more patient hitting practices. We have a manager that will not stand for loosing and demand the team win close games. (IE: not laying over for the pirates and reds). We have a president and team that knows fans are angry and they are obviously going to push hard for some top talent and the goal is to win next year. And according to sources payroll was upped to $115 mil. So I would hardly say we are were we were last year. We are MUCH better. And it's going to get MUCH better. Getting a bad team more cheaply doesn't inherently make us better. There's plenty of Neifi Perez's and Glendon Rusch's out there for us to spend money on. D-Lee not being injured helps...agreed, but nothing says that he won't get hurt again. Pierre being gone doesn't mean that spot is going to be better either. We've done a good job so far of getting rid of the bad, and keeping the good. Now it's time to add. Until I see those positive additions, I'm going to remain skeptical. I've been burned enough. I'm waiting for those positive actions as well. But we are clearly in a better position now than we were in mid last season with those coaches, woods money and Lee out. While getting a "bad" team (as you call them) more cheaply doesn't make us better per se. It does give us even more money to spend to make the team better. Agreed...I'm just skeptical of Hendry actually spending that money wisely. I'm ready to be proven wrong.

  12. The Drew rumor looks bogus. See the Drew thread.
  13. I'm tentatively very happy. But we're just back to where we were...I want additions now please.
  14. I'm taking this with a HUGE grain of salt...the same rumor is posted (by the same guy I think) on the Angels message board, but says that WGN radio is the source... http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=ml-angels&msg=75751.1&ctx=0
  15. Urlcaher is playing with some kind of special pad in his shoe from what Lawrence Holmes was saying on the Score.
  16. Reverse jinx wasn't much help last week.
  17. Ok this is completely irrelevant, given I don't know this guy at all, but I hear his name, I think of Jon Lovitz for some reason..."I'm an acta!!" Just had to share. Carry on.
  18. the resolution of our two opinions is obviously to let me come with you. i'll shoot up as you knock. sounds good to me. Once again the dilemma comes up on how you're going to shoot up twice... He'll figure out after he shoots up the first time. He'll be thinking much more clearly.
  19. Heh...it's unpossible the Bears could be better!
  20. :?: I saw some of Lovie's press conference on Wednesday...it sounds to me like he wants Berrian out there... In other news, Burress will play.
  21. I say this is garbage. If there was a $45 million offer on the table, there's no way Seibu would take as long as they have...
