  1. Did he get called out on it at all?
  2. The Bears record for one....
  3. Do you think SNL would do a Superfans sketch Saturday night? I mean George Wendt would surely be all over it, and maybe you could coax Mike Myers back, and you could probably get Robert Smigel to do it as well. But of course you'd have to replace Chris Farley...so I'm not sure if they'd do it or not. I might have to record it just in case though... :D
  4. The last line from Bill Simmons article today.
  5. Was this just on ESPN or something? Are the quotes on the net somewhere?
  6. A really nice article about Urlacherwith some quotes from Butkus.
  7. Yeah, the Bears have completely overshadowed the start of the baseball season for me. I can't get excited about it yet.
  8. Gotcha. I didn't see where you were going with that. Doesn't make me like Hub any more though. :)
  9. I don't believe there was any rule created. Wasn't Herm Edwards "traded" as well?
  10. I think he's pretty goofy and has a lot of silly thoughts on the game, but I still love Hub Arkush because of how close he's been to the Bears, and his freaking name. Lots of guys have been close to the Bears...Lawrence Holmes for example. Paul Sullivan and Phil Rogers have been close the Cubs, but that doesn't mean that they are fountains of knowledge. I can't dispute the name thing though.
  11. Probably had something to do with the fact the team has 23 years of history and the former Baltimore Colts will not associate with this team. How about the Edge? There are still Indy guys out there that they could get to at least show some kind of Indy point of view. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/michael_silver/01/30/superbowl.buzz/index.html
  12. Really, it was Hub who was fanning the flames on that one. BTW - I can't say I'd be completely disappointed if Lovie went to the Cowboys for multiple first rounders and Rivera took over as head coach. Of course, I'd love to keep Lovie around. But in the NFL, multiple first round picks are huge. Just for sake of discussion...Imagine adding 4 first round talents to this team in the next two years. Of course, one or more could always bust. Gotcha...I didn't turn it on till after Hub was on. I really don't like Hub. He's wrong in his opinions more often than not, and he's very smug about it. Then if Bernstein disagrees with him, Hub tries to spin what he said to agree with Bernstein. I'm glad the Bears got rid of him.
  13. The Cowboys may want Ron Rivera. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2749678 Of course B&B on the Score took the delay in the decision to think that this meant the Cowboys were going to go after Lovie.
  14. John Clayton tries to convince me that Cedric Benson isn't good in pass protection. I am not fooled.
  15. Monday morning is gonna hit pretty hard too if the Bears win...I'm gonna be up all night watching every highlight package known to man...
  16. He'd be a #1. I think it'd be tough to take the #1 spot from Zambrano, but damn would that be a problem I'd like to have.
  17. Billy Joel will be singing the national anthemon Sunday. He's also releasing a new single.
  18. When I first saw ATH, I thought Woody Paige was the worst one on there. Now I think he's one of the better ones on there, because he realizes his own ridiculousness. Bill Plachke doesn't.
  19. It might rain. Yep. Isolated T-Storms.
  20. Dr Z has a position by position comparison. He gives the Bears a 14-9-4 edge, but picks the Colts by 10 with this note: It also doesn't take into account that a more accurate analysis would be Colts' O vs Bears' D and Bear's O vs Colts' D...
  21. It's a Gene Wojo article actually worth reading! http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=wojciechowski_gene&id=2748764 It's a very nice story.
  22. Here's some info about Hoge: http://www.amarillo.com/stories/112797/nfl.shtml The article was written prior to the lawsuit.
  23. Same here. I could see that much more than Urlacher on offense.
  24. Why though? What does he provide on offense that the regular offensive players can't? Would it just be as a gimmick when you're already up big? Cuz I don't see us being up that big honestly.
