  1. Nothing really. Still waiting to hear back from Goodell. http://www.kfoxtv.com/sports/13338436/detail.html I thought I'd heard on the radio that they didn't expect Goodell to have a decision till Monday or Tuesday.
  2. My guess is that he's just not real stretched out yet. EDIT: Or not.
  3. Who let JC back on the board? See what happens when you leave the door open? Anyone can stroll in...
  4. That's funny. How about the guy who played for the Bulls part-time last year and then got traded to Phoenix? What about Vince Carter tanking in Toronto? It happens all the time. Didn't John Starks tank because he didn't want to play for the Bulls? (Admittedly he was at the end of his career though.) no, i think he just sucked Probably.

  6. You mean "I love the Bears, and want to finish my career here, so I'm seeking a trade" doesn't make total sense to you? this points to another problem with the NFL salary system, which is it fosters a complete lack of team loyalty (on both sides of the equation) with owners constantly cutting vets to try to get cheaper production and players constantly chasing the next big paycheck Um...isn't that an overall problem with corporate America? I know my company goes through hiring freezes, cost cutting periods where people with high salaries are evaluated to determine if they're worth their paycheck, and if not, either laid off or moved to another area where they can earn the amount of money they're making. Meanwhile every employee in this place is always looking for either a raise or a new job that includes a raise. I'm not sure how any system prevents that from occuring. Players will always be overpaid or underpaid. Happens every time.
  7. Mazzone and Duncan couldn't straighten out Marquis. Didn't he pitch well at the beginning for both and then unravel? it's different this time -- we're due My Card fan buddy keeps warning me that Marquis is going to collapse as the season goes on.

  9. Besides last night he's been fine. Besides the final score and Rich Hills pitching line, I have no idea what happened last night...way too late.
  10. Bonderman and Lee... I have some hella awesome luck.
  11. Ugh, Bonderman is on my fantasy team...*sigh* Hope he's not out too long.
  12. Wouldn't we be the higher seed (or at least have the better record, which is all that matters), and thus have home court? yes, my point was that just because NJ is a #7 doesn't make them a pushover Yeah, the Bulls always suck against NJ.
  13. They just played it on Mike and Mike...and he sounded more interested in defending his actions instead of figuring out how the rule "should" work.
  14. I didn't like Cotts when we got him, but he's grown on me. I'm not thrilled with the walks, but it hasn't hurt him so far.
  15. Ok, people need to stop answering and/or saying the same things I do BEFORE I say them...it's just freaky.
  16. Wow...this game is gonna get started at like 10:15 local time...
  17. Wow...ask and you shall be answered.
  18. Have they officially postponed this yet?
  19. This looks like Alex isn't really mad at the Bears...just seeing if there's another situation that fits better. He says he'd like to spend the rest of his career with the Bears, but it sounds like the Bears don't want to promise that right now... http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=208794
  20. Retire due to stress or health related concerns maybe?
  21. And Duncan took like 2 steps, which I wouldn't think would be considered to be leaving the bench area, too. It might not have been an "altercation" as Banedon says, but they certainly left the bench area by crossing onto the court. Agreed. I don't think there's much doubt there.
  22. Big, BIG difference between the two incidents. Diaw and Stoudamire (especially him) ran down the sideline to get close. Duncan basically stood up and took a step. And Bowen stepped out to pull Duncan back to the bench. The Duncan/Bowen thing was nothing. Duncan and Bowen crossed the sidelines, just like Diaw and Stoudemire. The NBA said they were following the rule due to precedence and that it was black and white. This is pretty darn black and white to me. The difference that I've heard is that the rule specifically states that you can't leave the bench area "during an altercation." The belief is that the league didn't consider this to be an altercation, therefore no punishment for Duncan or Bowen.
  23. Apparently it would be on Monday. David Stern must have been hanging out with Ricky Williams when he made the schedule for the second round of the playoffs. Having Game 7 four days after Game 6 is, quite possibly, the stupidest move ever. Not to mention that he did the same thing with Games 2 and 3 of the Suns-Spurs and Cavs-Nets series'. Ridiculous scheduling by the NBA. Why would you not take advantage of having a weekend audience for a Game 7? So stupid.
  24. Ok, so he gave up a hit in the second. I still called the nice game out of Z....:D
